“I tried controlling the class... it was rather difficult. I mean how on earth are you supposed to control 30 kids at once without making a sacrifice to the gods? You try everything from "planning" and emotional connection to just screaming at the top of your lungs demanding respect. Some kids are angelic and others seem to find any reason to try and break you. Whatever it may be, there is always that tiny spark of joy and hope that sneaks out even when you want to quit and "flick off" education. Being a teacher is not to be taken lightly and it will almost certainty make you question your entire life - but it's those little moments of joy that arise that you make you wonder - You know maybe this teaching thing ain't so bad. A kid you teach says they love your class or they share a song they learned how to play on the piano. Witnessing that can brighten even the most darkest cynic's day.”
