BIBLIOPOLY
Duration: January 1 - December 31, 2023



Inspired by the classic Monopoly board game, this yearly challenge takes bibliophiles around the board through forty bookish game spaces. You will read books related to the property color groups; original game tokens; book, author and character traits; community/group activities; and more!

Should you choose to print the Bibliopoly graphic for tracking, or to use dice to choose your next task, please note that the board game squares may be abbreviated due to space constraints. The prompt list contains more detail.

BIBLIOPOLY PROMPTS
1. Go: Read a book set on two or more continents.
2. Purple: Read a book with a wheelbarrow, garden tool or plant on the cover or in the title.

I'm thinking of joining this challenge, but I have a question. Is the goal to roll the dice and read a book based on the square you land on (which means you could land on the same square more than once and never land on other squares) or do you just read your way around the board? Thanks.

Shari, you can pick a few favorite prompts, read all the prompts on the board (in any order), or roll the dice to choose a prompt. If you're rolling dice and land on the same space again, you may repeat the prompt if you want. If not, you could set your own rule to roll again, move to the next unread prompt, etc. I won't be looking over your shoulder to see what number you rolled. 😉
