20.1 Most Improved - Megan W's task: (Super)Heroes
*graphic novels allowed*
2) Read a non-fiction book by or about someone who you consider heroic.
Required: Include an explanation of who you think is heroic and why.

When I was younger (not that it's changed), I was obsessed with The Princess Bride, and I saw Inigo, Westley and Fezzik as heroic. Fezzik was the most obvious of the "super" heroes, because he was so big and clearly so strong. He was also nice and kind to his friends.
Now that I've learned more about the man behind the character, it's clear that he was flawed as we all are, but he also faced adversities that would have been insurmountable for so many others. He may not have always been advised or led to do the right thing (like regarding his daughter), but facing constant pain, he was still putting on a show and giving more than 110% when he had a job to do.

Andre the Giant: Closer to Heaven by Brandon Easton
