I have never had true writer's block. I have gotten stuck on an issue which prevented me from progressing and the way I deal with such times is to tackle it head on. I start by researching the topic on which I am stuck to get a deliberate info overload. Next I stop using y had and start using my hands. I give myself a manual task, usually it's some ironing or cooking a dinner with a lot of preparation. When the hands are engaged the mind is free to de-focus from the subject with which it has been bombarded and the truth can filter through. A gleam of an idea always comes through when the mind is allowed this break.
