Donald Hale I think Hawking may have surpassed the others but only inasmuch as the work that was previously done he capitalized off of. Smarter man, maybe. One era(time frame of 100 year intervals) of science is put together by many but introduced by usually one. Also, your list of selections is biased. Hawking at the top of the list. We read left to right and top to bottom. Feynman is also a great scientist, but with Hawking you get a biography and perhaps the inspiration for his drive.

Feynman Has a biography (multiple in fact), which are definitely worth reading.
And Feynman goes well into how he was inspired as well, and has a basic talk thingy that's sole purpose is to answer some questions and inspire learning.
Not to mention the fact that Feynman's contributions inspired an entire branch of science, which draws in many eager students every year, where Stephen Hawking, has not really done anything that applies to most people.
