Lethal Game – Man Down

description

Leaving a man behind is the very last thing any GhostWalker, or anyone in the military, wants to do. Soldiers will risk their lives for one another. They’ll risk their lives to go back for a soldier who has been hit or otherwise left behind. Time and time again the GhostWalkers have proven this to be so. Even in Toxic Game when there was a chance Draden was infected with a deadly virus, they didn’t give up on him. When Malichai is wounded in , his team brings him out under heavy fire, risking their lives. This single event will change Malichai in ways he, his team, his family, could never imagine.

Malichai is told he has to take time off to recuperate and he finds himself in San Diego, California at a bed & breakfast. But, some men just attract danger and Malichai is one of those men.

Even though what he finds causes him to call in his team, it’s not enough. They need more help, fast. And just like his team would never leave him in a dangerous situation alone, the GhostWalkers are more than just one team.

I created the GhostWalker creed long ago when I wrote Shadow Game. It represents the GhostWalkers and tells everyone what they can expect. Even in the creed they swear never to leave a man behind.

The GhostWalker Creed:

We are the GhostWalkers, we live in the shadows
The sea, the earth, and the air are our domain
No fallen comrade will be left behind
We are loyalty and honor bound
We are invisible to our enemies
and we destroy them where we find them
We believe in justice and we protect our country
and those unable to protect themselves
What goes unseen, unheard, and unknown are
GhostWalkers
There is honor in the shadows and it is us
We move in complete silence whether in jungle or desert
We walk among our enemy unseen and unheard
Striking without sound and scatter to the winds
before they have knowledge of our existence
We gather information and wait with endless patience
for that perfect moment to deliver swift justice
We are both merciful and merciless
We are relentless and implacable in our resolve
We are the GhostWalkers and the night is ours

description

Malichai finds himself in dangerous territory right at home. His brothers-in-arms will come to help him. But in the end, his decision has to be made entirely on his own. How big of a sacrifice will he make, now that he’s finally found love, to save thousands of innocent lives?

What do you think is the most important part of the GhostWalker creed? What else do you feel heroes promise us whether they say it or not? Who is your favorite GhostWalker hero so far? Male or female? Or both!

Family, Community and Love - Lightning Game

description

was a joy to write. I love research and find the science of lightning and what scientists hope to achieve with lightning is fascinating. I love mystery and there’s a touch of that in Lightning Game as well. But as most of you know I really love writing about family and community which this has in so many ways. The people of the Appalachian Mountains are a very close-knit and caring group of people who have their own ways of living. The community that Rubin and Diego were raised in has its own secrets and their own ways of doing things.

description

is about love. The love of brothers. Rubin and Diego are close and their dynamic as brothers has many layers to it. Together they are unstoppable and even more dangerous than when they’re on their own. If you have siblings that you’re very close with you know what you’d be willing to do for them. You would not want to come between these two brothers. But they are also caring and sometimes quite hilarious.

All of my novels are about romance and finding that one person who is “your person”, your soul mate. Jonquille was perfect for Rubin. She was smart and as dangerous as the two brothers. In some ways she was more dangerous. She was smart, too. As she grew to love Rubin she knew she would have to win over Diego because he was so protective of Rubin.

Lightning Game is about many things and one of those things has to do with how we let people into our lives and how close we allow them to be. There are layers of love to this story and I hope readers enjoy all of it.

Exploring the Appalachian Mountains: A Journey of Discovery

When I first started researching the Appalachian Mountains for my novel, Lightning Game, I had no idea the journey I was about to embark on as I continued to research for
description
I’ve always been fascinated by rugged landscapes and the people who call them home, but there is something truly special about the Appalachians—something wild, untamed, and deeply rooted in tradition. The more I learned, the more I fell in love with this incredible region.

The Appalachians stretch across vast distances, their rolling ridges and mist-shrouded peaks holding secrets as old as time. These mountains are filled with history, legends, and a strength that is reflected in the people who live there. Generations of families have thrived in this unforgiving yet breathtakingly beautiful landscape, developing a resilience and resourcefulness that I find deeply inspiring. Their knowledge of the land, ability to survive in the harshest conditions, and unwavering sense of community reminded me so much of the —a group of warriors who rely not just on their enhanced abilities, but on their wits, loyalty, and trust in one another.

One of the most fascinating aspects of my research was delving into the survival skills that many Appalachian families pass down through the generations. Living off the land isn’t just a matter of convenience—it’s a way of life. Hunting, foraging, and understanding the rhythms of nature are essential skills, and it amazed me how much these practices align with the way my GhostWalkers must operate in the field.

I can’t wait for you to dive into this latest GhostWalker adventure and experience the Appalachians through the eyes of my characters. The mountains hold more than just beauty; they hold danger, mystery, and the kind of strength that runs deep in the blood.
