Colleen Coleman is an Irish- Canadian novelist. She is the winner of the much-coveted Novelicious Undiscovered People’s Choice Award which launched to find the next ‘chick-lit star’. She spent over ten years working as a teacher of English and Philosophy before finally taking a deep breath, scrunching her eyes shut, putting her pen to paper and vowing not to lift it again until she wrote the words The End. As a result, her first novel was born. Colleen lives between London, Ireland and Cyprus with her very patient husband and very chatty twin daughters. Don't Stop Me Now is her first book and will be released in February.

Read what you'd like to write and simply, have a go. Write a chapter, describe a scene. Get started, buy a lovely notebook and a fancy pen and begin. (less)

During the writing stage it is the challenge, the unfolding of the character and story and the opportunity to work with amazing people. Then it is graft time, that can be tricky! But when it all comes together, I love seeing the cover for the first time, that is always exciting. But then the real joy arrives, when the story is recieved well by readers and they review it and its like a wonderful conversation. They know the people I know! They care as much as I care! That feeling is the best. Wonderful. (less)
