The beginning of "Nightwatching" had me clinging to my Kindle with a frantic breathing rhythm that seemingly matched the intense plot of this narrative. However, after a few chapters, I became a little disconnected from the story. It felt like there were a few plot points that happened later in the story that would have been important to build on at the beginning of the story instead.
