Hi everyone. I am going to aim for 50 books in '09. That would, by far, blow away what I have read in any one of my adult years.

haha. At least I will be able to count that for '09.
I liked it quite a bit. For the most part I didn't feel that it read slow (even thought it took me forever!) but at the beginning of the 2nd epilogue I started to lose my patience. I'm looking forward to reading another Tolstoy in which he stays away from the war side of things.

No!!!! I hope that I feel differently! :) Although, War and Peace was great, so it wouldn't even have to be AS good for it to be a good read.
Does that ever seem like a popular topic for literature in that era!

Of course you should! They are books and you read them!
13. Selected Poems and Three Plays of William Butler Yeats by William Butler Yeats. Edited by M.L. Rosenthal.
My goal might have been derailed by summer activity, but we'll see....
14. Great Expectations by Charles Dickens.
15. Watchmen by Alan Moore.
16. The Tomb by F. Paul Wilson.
17. New Spring by Robert Jordan.
18. The Poet by Michael Connelly.
19. The Shack by William P. Young.

23. 1984 by George Orwell.
24. The Inner Sanctum by Stephen W. Frey.
25. The Power and the Glory by Graham Greene.
26. Going After Cacciato by Tim O'Brien.
Just over halfway there! I need to kick into a higher gear to make it, though.

So I am going to fall well short of my goal of 50. Best case is probably 39 by the end of next week. Still, I am happy with that and will probably just aim for the same next year.
