I expected many people to have Harry Potter on their lists =P. Though I myself didn't actually finish reading Harry Potter (it's hard for me to get into).
I started reading the first one... but never got past chapter one... and My fifth one is the legend of the Necromancer.
Legend of the Necromancer or Chronicals of the Necromancer? I liked Harry potter but not one of my favorites. I'm still thinking on my top 5. I'll get back to you.
Drizzt
shadow moon
sabriel
incarnations of imortality(its kindof fantasy...)
forgotten realms in general

hm.. I think it was Chronicles.

Chronicals of the Necromancer by Gail Z. Martain? I read the first one but have only gotten that far. I loved it too.
The second one's good. But I can only wonder what the third one's going to be aboutt.
Ok I think I'm ready, but reserve the right to change my mind.

demon wars saga
on a pale horse (I need to read the rest of that series some time)
Lord of the Rings
Magician - Feist
not fantasy, but Ender's Game is one of the best books ever written.

I liked the book. It was very... unique compared to some.

I think the moderate pace of the book was required to develop the characters properly and set up the twist at the end.

The Hobbit, Tolkien
Tigana, Kay
The Mirror of Her Dreams, Donaldson
Perdido Street Station, Mieville
A Wizard of Earthsea, LeGuin
I think that that's a very hard question to answer.
practically everything is fiction. The only things that aren't really fiction are information textbooks and the books called non-fiction.

Since then I have also got into Orson Scott Cards Alvin Maker series and I like those a lot too.
I do a lot of audio books because I can download them from the library and listen to them at work...now its kind of an addiction:)
Crank? That horrible book? Ugh... I never liked those books. They were just bad.

It isn't my favorite but I do enjoy some of them.
there is Ender Wiggin, Eliza, then there is Enders shadow, a kid named Bean. he is shorter, weaker, and a lot, lot smarter. he is also what passes for a "best friend" to Ender, and he has his own series.

So Olin, is Ender's Game part of the Shadow series then?

I have never been into sci fi at all either and would have never read this book, but it was the only book that the library had on audio that my book club at school was reading. As soon as I started reading it I was hooked.
yeah, "game" and "shadow" take place at the same time, and the same place. but follows two different people. i don't think that anybody eles could pull it off, but o.s.c. did. i sujest you read "game" first.
Yes! Somebody is on other than me! I've been rather bored for quite a while...
I know, but then I was alone again.
Yes! Wait, no... *sigh* there's never a time when all of us are on at once it seems....
