Nice - since we should always be nice and try to stick with our to-read piles ;) (yeah, right!)
1. Winter Solstice - the Winter Solstice will occur on Dec 22 and is the shortest day of a year - recommend a book from your partner's to-read list that is short
2. Summer Solstice - at the same time, the summer solstice, or the longest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere - recommend a long book from your partners to-read list
3. Series Clean-up - at the end of the year, I like doing a review of various series I have in progress and get caught up. Recommend a series from your partner's to-read list that they can get caught up on
Naughty - because buying books is naughty (for most of us)
4. Many yearly challenges - recommend a book that you read for a previous challenge this year (PIFM or other) that you enjoyed
5. Favorite Book of the Year - recommend a book that year that you would rank in your top 5 (or so)
6. A read that made you blush - what's being naughty without reading a book that makes you blush - recommend one for your partner
Buddy Read
7. Book Buying - recommend a book you bought recently (that you maybe shouldn't have) that you would like to read
8. Christmas Read - pick a christmas-y book to buddy read with your partner

Maybe nice enough for Santa to bring me and iPad?? A girl can dream.

{And for the record, you people have no idea how close you came to having to put up with another Jim PIFM challenge. Praise to Dee for picking up the torch!}

I was thinking of possibly hosting a PIFM but got scared.

I don't know why, but this made me chuckle. : )

The Pick-It-For-Me Challenge (PIFM) is a reading challenge where each participant gives and receives book recommendations based on a given set of rules. The assignment method and book selection rules change each month so it’s always new and different. Please make sure you read this information before you sign up.
After the signup period expires on November 29th, I'll put your names along the extra info I requested into the super secret PIFM randomizer and select someone for you to choose for. The person for whom you are to 'pick' will be posted at the same time as the rules for the month.
While you are doing your picks, someone else is picking for you. Once you receive your picks, you select a book off the list and get reading. To complete the challenge, you only have to read 1 (one) book, but many of us end up reading more because we just can't resist a list of books to read.
You need to either HAVE YOUR PROFILE SET TO PUBLIC (preferable), or make the person who will be giving you recommendations your friend. On top of that, I strongly recommend keeping your bookshelves updated; you may otherwise end up with a recommendation for a book that you have already read.
If you are new, please read the challenge specific FAQ. If you have any questions that are not addressed there, please feel free to ask!
IMPORTANT DATES:
November 29th(5pm US EST): Sign up closes, matchups are made, picking rules are posted
December 3nd (5pm US CST): Deadline for recommendations, remixes are assigned
December 31st: Deadline for reading your pick and giving some feedback
INFORMATION NEEDED TO SIGN UP:
Please sign up in this thread with the following information in your signup post:
Which of Santa's lists are you going to fall on this year - naughty or nice?
