Zoe Currently reading Simply Irresistible (A Lucky Harbor Novel, #1) by Jill Shalvis and loving it! It;s my first Jill Shalvis, and there is something absolutely wonderful about discovering an author with plenty of backlist.

Almost finished with this and about to move on to When Beauty Tamed the Beast by Eloisa James . I've been rotating contemporary/historical lately. Have a couple children's mysteries i need to get to though - one is a new Sherlock Holmes spin-off, and who doesn't love those?

Kelley (shewolf0316) Megan wrote: "Okay..... I think I'm starting to turn into Kelley!! LOL!..."

And I've already finished 6 of those books I last posted.

ROFL Megan! People think I'm nuts but I love doing several at once like that. I have books scattered all over the place so even if I forget to take a book with me somewhere, more than likely I've got something else already started and waiting for me.

Then there's the fact it actually keeps the stories fresh. When I get to a slow point, I switch to something else for alittle while and later come back to the slow part of earllier book or to a book I'm not enjoying as much and then I'm happy to keep reading. As strange as it may seem, I think I actually finish books slightly faster with the jumping around cuz I never feel "stuck" in a book.

Megan | 1285 comments LMAO!! I don't think its nuts- I think you’re genius! I am really enjoying have one for each media (audio, e-book, and print). I don't have the discipline to have as many going at the same time that you do, but now that I have a Kindle, I like mixing it up a little bit. And you are right, it really does help when you hit a slow point in one, you can always fall back on something else to try to get you out of that feeling.

message 104: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I finished reading Song of Scarabaeus (Scarabaeus, #1) by Sara Creasy which I loved! I'm not sure what I'll be starting next, but I'm leaning towards historical romance.

message 105: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1285 comments I think I'm going through a reading slump right now. I'm only 50 pages into This Side of the Grave (Night Huntress, #5) by Jeaniene Frost . I am still hoping to be able to finish it on Monday.

I know what you mean. A lot of people are in a reading funk right now. Maybe you're wore out from the excitement over getting your kindle, LOL!!!!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Good Megan. Then you can start on Wicked Intentions.

message 108: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I'm starting Stardoc (Stardoc, #1) by S.L. Viehl . I thought I wanted to read a historical romance novel, but I need just one more sci-fi romance first.

message 109: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments Here I go again..... put a dent in my humongous tbr pile. I'm reading:
Stardoc (Stardoc, #1) by S.L. Viehl , and Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (Love By Numbers, #1) by Sarah MacLean .

I figure if they're total opposites, I'll get through them both in no time at all.

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Carolyn F....I'm currently reading Warrior (The Blades of the Rose, #1) by Zoe Archer and am really enjoying the adventure.

message 113: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. It was really good Lisa. I'm liking Scoundrel so far, but I'm reading two books at the same time and the other is a little better.

I'm listening to Hunting Ground (Alpha & Omega, #2) by Patricia Briggs and Murder List (Buchanan, #4) by Julie Garwood . I'm reading Scoundrel (The Blades of the Rose, #2) by Zoe Archer and Texas Destiny (Texas Trilogy, Book 1) by Lorraine Heath .

message 114: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1285 comments I finally finished This Side of the Grave (Night Huntress, #5) by Jeaniene Frost and was overall disappointed. However, I think I'm in the minority with that opinion. I will be starting my first March Challenge book The Raven Prince (Princes Trilogy, #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt

message 115: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I finished reading Stardoc (Stardoc, #1) by S.L. Viehl , which I loved. I'm going to focus on finishing Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (Love By Numbers, #1) by Sarah MacLean , and also start Warrior (The Blades of the Rose, #1) by Zoe Archer .

message 116: by Zoe (new)

Zoe Finished When Beauty Tamed the Beast by Eloisa James and reading the last of my February challenge books, Not That Kind of Girl (Dog Walkers #3). Also listening to J.D. Robb's 'Naked in Death' on Audio. Having never read any of the 'in death' series, I am way behind, and not sure I'll read all of them, but WOW! The romance is okay - sex scenes on audio always make me giggle, but the mystery is FABULOUS. A little gorier than I like, but it's pretty darn good, I have to admit!

message 117: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1285 comments Just finished The Raven Prince (Princes Trilogy, #1) by Elizabeth Hoyt which was very good! I'm moving onto Claiming the Courtesan by Anna Campbell next

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments I am currently reading Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning and I am in a dilemma. I love to read before I go to bed and sleep, but it is giving me nightmares. Really, truly, nightmares. No joke. Very disturbing. (view spoiler) I tried it again during the daytime, but still had a day-mare after a nap. Because of this, I didn't read it before I went to bed last night. Sometimes I fall asleep with a book in my bed and, I’m sure I look like this: (view spoiler) But then that (view spoiler)

I already bought the next in the series and downloaded the third from my library. I love Karen Marie Moning's writing style, it really flows, but I can't handle these nightmares. Maybe I need to sleep with a crucifix, Star of David, or a statue of Buddha…or all three.

message 120: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1285 comments Oh Lisa!! I'm so sorry it's giving you nightmares! Maybe you need to read KMM during the day and before naps/bed read a lighter/funnier book...?

(I understand why those creatures would freak you out! They are pretty freaky!)

message 121: by Kit★ (new)

Kit★ (xkittyxlzt) | 1416 comments I started Duchess By Night (Desperate Duchesses, #3) by Eloisa James last night and really liking it so far :)

message 122: by Zoe (new)

Zoe Oh Kit, I loved that series!!! Follow through with it, because the last 2 books in the series are the best, and so worth it. James is a terrific author, but that bunch of books was her best work yet.

message 123: by Megan (last edited Mar 14, 2011 07:41PM) (new)

Megan | 1285 comments I finally finished Claiming the Courtesan by Anna Campbell and I think I'm the only one who didn't like it

I'll be starting After the Abduction (Swanlea Spinsters, #3) by Sabrina Jeffries next

I've read the first one Desperate Duchesses and also When the Duke Returns (Desperate Duchesses, #4) by Eloisa James , which I read out of order lol since Isidore in the one I'm reading now is still waiting for her Duke to return... I have A Duke of Her Own in my TBR pile, but I'm missing the others, I'm hoping to find them soon :)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I finished reading Warrior (The Blades of the Rose, #1) by Zoe Archer . Now I'm off to finish Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (Love By Numbers, #1) by Sarah MacLean , Chimera (Chimera, #1) by Rob Thurman , and the The Dare by Susan Kearney . I have way too many books hanging over my head right now. I don't know how some of you do it!

message 132: by Michelle (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments I must really be on a roll! I finished Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake (Love By Numbers, #1) by Sarah MacLean , which I loved. I can't remember who recommended it to me, but thank you very much :) I've placed The Dare by Susan Kearney on hold because it's the second book in the series, and I feel like I'm missing some background info on the main couple.

message 133: by Michelle (new)

message 137: by Kristi (last edited Mar 22, 2011 03:35AM) (new)

Kristi (kristicasey) Seeing all these great titles is reinforcing my idea for April. I've been thinking that since April is the month of my anniversary that I'd treat myself. No group reads, no challenges, just a whole month of nothing but books I already have, new releases I've been waiting for, and nothing but books I really, really want to read. i.e Probably A LOT of romances. Lol.
What do you think?

message 138: by Megan (new)

Megan | 1285 comments I think that is a great idea Kristi! I'm thinking about taking off a month of challenges in the summer (maybe). Let me know if you feel "reading refreshed" the beginning of May? I am hoping that is how I will feel afer taking a month "off"

message 139: by Kristi (new)

Kristi (kristicasey) That's my goal too!

message 140: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (last edited Mar 22, 2011 07:31PM) (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments What am I currently reading? NOTHING! Nothing but 카지노싸이트, 카지노싸이트, 카지노싸이트! Good gravy beans. I signed on a few hours ago to put in some books and I am still here!!! I was starting to listen to Mummy Dearest (Claire Malloy, #17) by Joan E. Hess while I did so and soon I had to stop the sound as I wasn't paying attention. I was typing short sentence reviews, reading others' opinions, and trying to figure out which books I could use for challenges. I quit! I need to go eat something and listen to my phone messages. 카지노싸이트 is too addictive. LOL!

Ha ha! I've done that many times. I've even gone so far as to leave GR and realize I never did enter the books.

You've got the right idea! As much as doing a challenge motivates me to get through my books, sometimes I'm just not into them. Plus, whenever I see what everyone else is reading, I never stick to my challenge books anyway, LOL!

message 143: by Michelle (last edited Mar 22, 2011 06:36PM) (new)

Michelle Gilmore | 3220 comments Amazingly, I finished reading Adrienne (A Bron Universe Novel) by D. Renee Bagby . It was a quick and easy read, but the hero and the heroine just irritated me. I'm not sure what I'm moving on to next.

message 144: by Michelle (new)

I'm addicted too, LOL! I know I spend more time on here reading about reading, than reading a book. Its an addiction, but a harmless one, so I'm okay with it.

Sandra J Weaver (sandraweaver) | 361 comments Right now I'm reading Knitting Rules! The Yarn Harlot's Bag of Knitting Tricks by Stephanie Pearl-McPhee . I have two mysteries to finish, Slave to Sensation and Morrigan's Cross to start, and Obsidian Prey waiting on audio in the car. I'm reading a knitting book since my brain seems fried on fiction right now. I'll probably read Netted Beadwork: A Beadwork How-To Book next.
