Wonderful, wonderful, for you, Jacqueline. I looked at your books on and they looked bright and very readable. It's not a surprise. Laurel

That's just the American covers (mostly). I wish I could get them to post the Australian covers, because they are much nicer.

Congrats from me, Jacqueline, as well, with just a hint of envy. Fabulous news!

'Secret' is aimed at the 10 to 14 age group, and it's an adventure/mystery set in the north of Australia. Four children, a 65 year old solo sailor, and a hundred year old mystery on a remote island. So far my kids' books have been about children being put in situations where they're thrown on their own resources and have to deal with situations without an adult telling them what to do. They're very Australian!
I have two kids in that age bracket Joanne. I will definitely pass it by them. :)

I love a typo face. there is the smiley face :) The big cheesy grin :D The chargrin :P The perplexed :\ The sad :( The cranky >:(
Just to name a few. You can always add a nosw if you like. :O)

Gail you should put some of them and their meanings in the Tips discussion. I for one would be very grateful to know!;)

This sounds a good book to look out for my grandchildren. i have a few at various ages and always buy books for them. Congratulations. It sounds a great book. Laurel

Okay Mandy Is this where i can show off? do i just open a thread about myself here or is there some protocol to be observed?
I just spent all of yesterday updating my profile, adding photos chapters and excerpts from 4 of my stories etc maybe that would be better done here? please advise...

Kindest regards
Tony

Good on ya girl!
Tony this is exactly where you should show case your work. Start a new thread. Add any content you would like.

John Truman, a bright, introverted, college student belongs to the New Dawn...he just doesn't know it yet. The 300-year-old, Oxford-based, secret society designed him and built their organization to interface with him. They cannot survive without him; he cannot survive without them. All he wants is to get through today; all they want...is to rule the world.
Cheers,
Mark

Ann your book sounds like a great read!! I had trouble with the link though. It took me to the White Amah. I found the Biocide Conspiracy here:

I've got two previews up at the moment hence the confusion. As well as my latest, young adult novel,'The Biocide Conspiracy, I'm in the process of publishing a second edition of 'The White Amah'.
Seems like I've got two many balls up in the air and I've never been good at juggling.
Thanks, Mandy

I'll go start my own folder here now. Welcome to those who like reading the naughty stuff. I'm aiming at a higher level of writing than many of the erotica stories that get churned out. I hope I've achieved that but time will tell.
And congratulations, Jacqueline :)
As suggested by Laura, here is my trailer for 'Out of Australia' has been released, have a look & comment if you like (-:
David, this could be what Laura meant too... http://www.africa-eu.com/topic/show/4...

For a large country with a small populations Australia sure has lots of good writers who are doing well. All the fresh air must be good for the creativity.
My first 2 novels are set in Australia, one in Melbourne and one in the Qld outback, Sydney and rural Victoria. Eumeralla is a family saga. Vissi d'arte is about students at an opera school in Melbourne. Both are on Kindle.

My husband, the Sydney Opera House Grand Organ creator Ronald Sharp, greeted the idea with boundless enthusiasm, which grew even more as he read and liked my work. Before I had time to blink, he'd installed himself as my editor and cover designer, which has been a blessing since I couldn't have done it all on my own.
We have six titles now. The first four comprise a set of volumes of Australian Short Stories: the titles being 25 Stories of Life and Love in Australia, A Taste of Life and Love in Australia, The Essence of Life and Love in Australia, and Reflections of Life and Love in Australia. Next came 60 Questions, Insights and Reminiscences, which is a series of light-hearted, easy to read articles about life as seen through the eyes of an Australian female baby boomer. Our sixth effort, Long and Short Australian Stories, has just been released, and is as described by the title, though I should add that most stories have a romantic theme.
I am presently having a break from writing books, but I still enjoy posting articles on my WordPress blog.

I was thrilled to launch my comic novel Pangamonium in Adelaide last Friday 20 July. We had a great turn out at the SA Writer's Centre and I signed books for an hour and half!
The publisher MidnightSun, is also Adelaide based, and is supporting interesting, quirky fiction.
You can read more about

by following the links here on 카지노싸이트, or to my website (via my profile here) and on Twitter, etc. The book should be out and about in paperback in the next week or so in better bookshops around the country, or you can ask your bookseller to order it in. Also available as an ebook and Kindle. I think Fishpond also sell it with free shipping.
Oh, and we're running a giveaway competition here for Australians, so check it out.

Zanesh, you can make your own thread in this section, so under the heading of Author's Spotlight, do new topic, with your new book. And with the giveaway, we have a section for that too.... http://www.africa-eu.com/topic/group_... Just make your own thread again.

Thank you Brenda, done. :)

Most of you may already know me but for those who don't I'm Trace and I write primarily fantasy fiction. I'm currently working on a mystery/thriller novel just to try my hand at another genre.
I'm most often found on the 'Chat' thread if you want to talk to me :)
