I love The Bell Jar, I reread it every few years, but have not read Ariel. Did you have a favorite between the 2? Should I add Ariel to my very long to read list? Is it worth bumping it up to a higher number on my to read list rather than the bottom? Thanks for any input.

Az (a_krich) Hello Pat.

I would say that it depends on which variety of literature you prefer to read as both tend to deal with existential paranoia. Myself? I preferred her plethora of poetry.

Loved it. Wasn't at all what I expected, after reading Heart of a Dog, I was much more inclined to expecting a subtle satire at Stalinist regime.
