Bookshelf Challenge - ended July 10, 2010

although most of the books i've chosen I can't wait to read

Sunflower - I know, I am the same way! Well, I at least got two read this month. Hopefully next month will be better. I am hoping to read maybe 10 total?

Plus I think from a business standpoint it would be smarter too, as if I had known the book I found in the bargain area was third and it was interesting enough to want to buy, I would have gone back to buy one and two in the series right away so I could begin reading. :0P

Oh, wow, I couldn't handle that! I tried to knock off some of my least favorite at the beginning, with the ones I really wanted to read as sort of prizes to spur me on.

Congrats to everyone who is close! Great reading!

That sounds great, BJ Rose. I always tell myself that I am not going to pick up any extras, but it never holds. I'll be lucky if I even get three or four of the books on my list read.

The only way I avoid falling into that trap is that our library has a drive-up window. I haven't actually been inside the library in years. I select my books on-line, then pick them up when they're ready. Of course, a typical stop by on the way after school is likely to be returning 6-8 and picking up 6-8. But at least they're only the ones I'd planned to get. (:>)

Wow, that's ingenious. I wish our Library had that option. The parking and Layout are horrible that's why I hardly ever go.

What a brilliant idea, wish my library had that then I would only get the books that I had reserved online and maybe then I'd be able to put a dent in the tbr pile

Tara, it's on the "humor" shelf.

Now you can read any book you want from any of the original 20 카지노싸이트 shelves and I will add them to the pick-a-shelf bookshelf's. Enjoy :0)

Congrats, Natasha! I'm two behind you, but it'll be a few days yet. I'm in the middle of The 19th Wife now, which is long but SO worth it. And I'm having trouble settling on a book from the Travel shelf. I thought I'd read Fried Eggs with Chopsticks, but too many reviews said she was so disparaging and I didn't want that.

Now maybe I can stop burning the midnight oil trying to read all these books ;) Who am I kidding? I'll probably always stay up late reading!
**I was actually 3.5 away when you posted your last update Luann, I just forgot to put up my date and rating!

Congrats, both Tina & Karen!
I'm finished, too, and I have a question:
Slayermel wrote: "If you complete reading one book off of all shelves before July 10th you can read books that are listed on the original 카지노싸이트 shelves fitting the headings, and we will add those books to the Pick-a-shelf Bookshelf. (Please just make a note of this in your list)"
If we're reading more after the first 20, should we still try to do only one per additional shelf? Or, for things that are listed on more than one 카지노싸이트 shelf, name the one we think fits the book best? For example, if I read Gone, I'd probably call it Young Adult or 카지노싸이트 Fiction; but if I have others I want to read from those shelves, should I name Gone as Adventure instead (It's on all 3 카지노싸이트 shelves)? Or does that not matter after the first 20?
I absolutely love this challenge! I'm not stopping now.

First of all let me just say Congratulations to all of you who have finished, WOW!!!!
You no longer have a limit per shelf Susan, so I would say you pick the shelf you think it most suits. So if you read for example "The Thirteenth Tale" and it's listed as:
Mystery
Chick-Lit
Paranormal
And you feel its more mystery than anything else you could choose to put it on the mystery shelf. If you feel it's more Paranormal or chick-Lit you could choose that shelf instead. It is now in your hands.
I hope that answers your question.

My goal was to complete 12, but I still have 3 to go and vacation's coming up!

Luann - I used The Count of Monte Cristo for a 5 point task for the Spring Challenge in the Seasonal Challenge Group, lol.
Natasha - No one says you need to read long books. We all read what we can and want, and let the chips fall where they may.
