Very excited to start the challenge!

Yay, I got to adjust my ticker! Finished my first book. #1 The Dutchman by Maan Meyers.

Finished another one! #2 Wedding Rows by Kate Kingsbury. It's one of the Manor House series. Nice light reading. This one wasn't one of my favorites but it was still good.

Finished #3 "The Good Mayor" last night. Very good book.

Finished #4 -- Plum Lucky by Janet Evanovich. Onward and upward!

It was good.. Borders gift cards and things of that nature. What more could a girl want

I didn't get any book store gift cards :( But my birthday's coming up so I get a second chance! LOL

As a kid it wasn't that much fun having a birthday a month after Christmas. But now I don't mind so much.

Finished #5 -- An Unmentionable Murder by Kate Kingsbury. It's in the Manor House series. From the way it ended I think it might be the last one in the series.

Started reading #6 -- Killing Floor by Lee Child. My first Lee Child book.

Okay, still working on Killing Floor but I made a detour and read Disquiet by Julia Leigh. It isn't a long book so it didn't take me long to read it, but it was disturbing and strange. Can't really say I liked it but it was well-written and interesting.

So Disquiet was #6 and I finished #7,Killing Floor!

#8 is done, The Weight of Silence. Excellent book. I gave it 5 stars. It's written from several different points of view which can sometimes be confusing. In this case though, the writer weaves all the versions together so seamlessly the story just flows.

Okay, trying to finish up #9, Wolf Hall, so I can get it back to the library. Also reading The Inn At Eagle Point and listening to Three Weeks to Say Goodbye on audio!

Finished #9 Wolf Hall! It was a long one so it took me a while, but I really enjoyed it. I'm still working on The Inn At Eagle Point. I think it will be a fairly quick read once I can get back into it, although it's not a short book by any means. I should have some good reading time this weekend. I'm enjoying my audio book too although it's mostly just on my way to and from work so it's slow going so far. (My commute is only 10 minutes or so!)

I'm trying to do an audio book at work. I thought I would start with something I'd already read. I'm worried that if I get too "into" something, I won't notice if someone comes to my desk, and then my days of using headphones at work will be numbered. So I picked up a few classics on audio book from the library. I chose "The Wizard of Oz" for my first one. It's the unabridged version. I know I've read the book but I'm already noticing things I don't remember from the book, like the description of Aunt Em being so beautiful when she first got married and how gaunt and gray she looks after living on the prairie. And it's strange to hear that Dorothy put on a pink bonnet for her walk to the Emerald City. Like everyone, I picture Judy Garland with her braided pigtails, and NO bonnet! And in the book, she has silver shoes, not red ones!!

Finished #10 The Kingsbridge Plot finally (it was due back at the library almost a week ago). I'm on disc 4 of the audiobook Three Weeks to Say Goodbye (listening in my car) and still on disc one of "Oz" (listening at work when I can). And continuing with The Inn At Eagle Point. I still have a week to get two more books done ... hope I can make it!

Whew ... finally got a chance to read today and finished The Inn At Eagle Point. #11! One more to go for January! Still working on both my audiobooks.

Finished #12, the audiobook version of "Wizard of Oz". I thought I would NEVER finish. I forgot how much the movie left out! I just barely made my goal for January. I am half done with my next book and more than half done with my other audio book.

Okay, I decided I'm focusing too much on whether or not I meet my monthly goal. I should be happy that I've already read 12 books this year and only have 132 to go for my yearly goal! And I'm having fun, which is the only truly important thing!

I hope to do better in February. Being able to count audio books will really help.

Finished #13 Three Weeks to Say Goodbye on audio. LOVED it! This was book #1 for February, book #13 total cumulative thus far.

Finished #14, Murder on Waverly Place. Not great but still good. On to the next!

I just started reading Heat Wave last night but it's a very fast read. I just have a few chapters left. Hopefully I'll finish it tonight after work. I'm also close to being done with one of my audio books.

I was going to put it on reserve at the library yesterday but put so many other ones on there that I said I'll wait alittle longer. My luck they will all come at the same time.

Well, this one won't take you long to read. I'm already done with it!

#15 Heat Wave ... my February pen-pal read. This was a really fun book. You'll especially like it if you watch the show, but you don't need to be a viewer to enjoy this book. It's a fun detective novel with a sexy sub-plot! ;-)

Finished #16 The Thief Lord, which was an audio book. I really liked it.

Finished #17, Plum Lovin'. Nice fun, quick read! I wanted to start the weekend off with a fun book. ;-)

#18 Don't Look Behind You by Lois Duncan. VERY YA but I loved this author in my younger years and it was a nice "blast from the past" ... although I had never read this one before. I'm on track to meet my February goal!

Finished #19 last night, The Secret Diaries of Charlotte Brontë. I LOVED this book. I gave it five stars. I had other things planned for last night but had about an hour to get a little reading done. Well, the other things went by the wayside because I couldn't stop reading. I highly recommend it if you want to learn more about the Bronte family.

Finished #20, the audio version of Northanger Abbey today. This was a re-read, but I hadn't read the book for a while. I did enjoy the movie version that was on PBS last year or the year before.

For some reason 카지노싸이트 isn't letting me add books to my currently-reading shelf. So, I am also reading The Gates by John Connolly and The Rosary Girls by Richard Montanari. These are both due back to the library in a few days! It's crunch time!! I don't think I'll have any trouble finishing the Connolly book but the Montanari one is slow going so far.

Finished #21, The Gates by John Connolly. Loved it!

Finished #22, High Bloods by John Farris. I gave it 3 stars. It was interesting but not really my thing. It's urban fantasy. I thought I would try it out for something new.

Finished #23, Every Breath You Take: A Novel, the audio book version. It was okay, only gave it 2 stars.

Finished #24, The Rosary Girls! I already met my goal for February and still have a few days left.

Finished #25 today ... The Hollow by Agatha Christie. Just felt like reading a nice, cozy mystery today, and she is the queen of the cozies!!

Finished #26, Flowers On Main bySherryl Woods. I only gave it 3 stars. It wasn't bad, I think I just wasn't in the mood for this type of book right now.

Pushed myself a little and finished another book today, Vanished Smile: The Mysterious Theft of Mona Lisa. I had other things I wanted to do today, but this was due back at the library yesterday and I had already exceeded my renewal limit! Luckily it didn't take me too long to read it. So this was #27, which means I'm ahead for March already! I've been trying all month to finish my audiobook version of Little Women too. It was also due back at the library yesterday. I only have 3 discs left, so I'll just burn them onto my computer so I can still finish it but get it returned.

Finished #28, Room with a Clue by Kate Kingsbury. This was my "R" book on my winter challenge list. It's also the first in the Pennyfoot Hotel series. I bought this whole series in paperback (used) and haven't had time to start it until now. They are nice, short, cozy mystery books set in Edwardian England.

Finished #29, The Night Ferry by Michael Robotham. I'm giving it four stars. Well written mystery with lots of good twists and turns. I really like books set in England!
