It is now time to vote for our ANNIVERSARY LIST: Throwing it back to 2022!

For more information about this special Anniversary List, see this thread.

Voting will open in the morning of Sunday, September 1 and results will be posted in the morning of Friday, September 6 (CDT time).

How it works:
- When the voting opens, follow the link to the mini-poll that will be added at the end of this post
- You have a total of 8 votes this poll to spread across your favorite and least favorite prompts (you can also use less than 8 votes)
- You can find examples of acceptable voting practices on the Introduction thread.

We are asking people to include their 카지노싸이트 profile address when they vote. To find this, just go to your own profile and then copy the URL/web address. If for some reason you can't link to your 카지노싸이트 profile, please post your full 카지노싸이트 name with enough identifiable information that we'll be able to access your profile.

As this is an ANNIVERSARY LIST poll, only ONE prompt will make the final list. Use your votes wisely!

Poll Prompts:
5. A book by an author with two sets of double letters in their name
6. A book with an image of a source of light on the cover
12. A book related to glass
20. A fiction or nonfiction book that is set during 1900 -1951
22. A book with a Jewish character or author
23. A book that features loving LGBTQIA+ relationship
29. A book set on or near a body of water
34. A book with an academic setting or with a teacher that plays an important role
37. A book that uses all five vowels in the title and/or author's name
40. A book related to one of the 22 Tarot Major Arcana cards
41. A book with a theme of food or drink
44. A book with gothic elements
45. A book related to a game
46. A book with a non-human as one of the main characters
49. A book connected to the phrase "Here (There) Be Dragons"

Dubhease | 1027 comments This was the only year I did the whole 52 book challenge and some of these prompts were hard to fill.

The double sets of letter, the 1900 -1951, and I remember debates of people trying to figure out if tiny images of book cover actually had a light source or not.

The Tarot card prompt was probably the easiest to fill. And some people liked it so much that they turned it into a side quest to do all 22.

The non-human character doesn't have to be an animal. I read a book with demons, vampires, and werewolves.

I think the dates of this poll are incorrect....

You're right, we haven't figured out how to time travel yet! I assume it is Sunday, Sep 1 and Friday Sep 6.

Jillian | 2837 comments It is interesting to see that in 2022 list we had 8 more prompts picked after poll 10 (if I’m counting correctly 2022 35 prompts and 2025 27 prompts).

message 7: by Conny (new)

Conny | 638 comments I'm happy to see that the first and only suggestion of mine that made it in so far is back on the list (the Here There Be Dragons prompt), but I'm not sure I'll actually upvote it this time around, haha. While the original idea was actually centered around medieval map making and explorers (where mapmakers would note "Hic aunt dracones" = "Here be dragons" and put illustrations of sea monsters on uncharted areas of maps), it also works as a dragon prompt, and. Feel we've had a lot of those recently :D

message 8: by Siobhan (new)

Siobhan J | 5 comments My first year doing ATY, as I recall! I’m very excited to see some of these prompts back, seems a decent set.

5 upvotes and 3 downvotes.

Upvotes:

22. A book with a Jewish character or author
23. A book that features loving LGBTQIA+ relationship
40. A book related to one of the 22 Tarot Major Arcana cards
44. A book with gothic elements
49. A book connected to the phrase "Here (There) Be Dragons"

Downvotes:

5. A book by an author with two sets of double letters in their name
12. A book related to glass
46. A book with a non-human as one of the main characters

message 9: by Lindsay (new)

Lindsay Kelly | 282 comments I think this is a great list of prompts I could easily upvote 8 but I'm going to limit myself to 4 upvotes as I *might* do a rejects challenge with the prompts I upvote that don't get in.

There is nothing here that I would downvote.

My upvotes are:
20. A fiction or nonfiction book that is set during 1900 -1951 - I'm trying to read all of the chalet school series so this would fit in here
34. A book with an academic setting or with a teacher that plays an important role - again this would wok for a chalet school book or maybe a dark academia book
23. A book that features loving LGBTQIA+ relationship - I've got some Alice Osman books or T J Klune books that would be good for this - also these are lighter reads so that would be nice
46. A book with a non-human as one of the main characters - I just read All systems red and want to keep reading this series

As I said I'd be pretty happy with all these options. I definitely think this was my favourite year for prompts.

I really liked the "loving relationship" part of the LGBTQIA+ prompt. I tend to lean toward the doom and gloom of books (less so now, but at that point in my reading, I did a lot of dense literary fiction, the more emotional the better lol), so it was nice to have a prompt force me into a book where the relationship went right.

Ciara (ciaraxyerra) | 308 comments This is a really intriguing list of prompts. I'd be pretty content to do any of these. I didn't even use all of my votes, for the first time ever!

message 12: by Jill (new)

Jill (dogbotsmum) | 1356 comments I have gone 5 up and 3 down but I know I can find books for all of these prompts

message 13: by Karin (new)

Karin | 699 comments I only upvoted one thing--there are many on here I either never vote for or I've done before/difficult to find.

John Warner (jwarner6comcastnet) | 120 comments I voted three up and three down.

message 15: by Jette (new)

Jette | 301 comments 1 up, 7 down - these rounds I’m only upvoting my favorites. This time there was only one that I strongly like and just happen to have preordered.

message 16: by Pam (new)

Pam (bluegrasspam) | 3772 comments I only upvoted 3 and I doubt that any of them have a chance! I’m not sure if I’ll even do the anniversary prompts but I’m still voting just in case I have a phenomenal reading year. Never say never.

I'm keeping with mostly downvoting anything I think is blah so we might get a great one.

That must have been a tough year- I keep going through these and going "that was tough to fill... took the easy road on this one...tough..."

message 18: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 2679 comments This list is from my first year with ATY, but I came in AFTER the prompts were chosen. I think I would have had an easier time with some of the prompts had I been there during all the discussions — especially with 49. A book connected to the phrase "Here (There) Be Dragons". Thankfully someone clued me in that this could include map related books. But in the process I found that there are at least SOME dragon books that I'd like, and I even read one of them for another prompt!

dalex (912dalex) | 2646 comments Are the anniversary polls longer than the regular polls? It seems like this one is taking forever long!

Yes, they run Sunday-Friday, and a normal poll’s voting period would be Sunday-Thursday. Don’t ask me my rationale lol

JessicaMHR | 292 comments I'm usually so behind that I miss voting but, I just opened the voting and it looks a little too familiar.

So I'm asking did I already vote on this one?

JessicaMHR, you did vote already!

message 24: by JessicaMHR (new)
