Crime Thriller / Police Procedural

The book has an intensity that hooked me with a good plot and strong characters. The author also does a great job of incorporating real-world issues into the story that add depth. The author did a great job of building suspense throughout the story, providing action, and giving readers a lot to contemplate as they try to solve the crimes.

Finished The Works of Guy de Maupassant Volume 2: Monsieur Parent and Other Stories, a collection of thirty-one short stories. A few of these I had read in other collections, but most were new to me. As with any such compilation, I liked some more than others, my favorite being the longest and one of the last, “Mad.”

The author brings suspense, action, and intense moments to this fast-paced novel that is full of a sense of urgency and prose that flows well. It’s thought-provoking as family relationships, aging parents, friendships, bullying, crimes, and more are explored.

This appears to be a re-release.
Crime Thriller/Police Procedural

The author is a great storyteller with gripping scenes and a disturbing story that depicts the devastating risks to runaways and the effects of human trafficking on them. The plot moves at a fast pace with some twists and turns. However, the antagonist was a little too predictable.

Finished The Librarian of Crooked Lane by C.J. Archer. This is a historical fantasy/mystery set just after WWI. Enjoyed this and am definitely interested in reading books two and three. I have not read the related Glass and Steel series, though I do have book one, The Watchmaker's Daughter.

She's an Aussie author Heather - a friend reads and loves her work. I've only just discovered this, and also thought the author was male (probably because of Archer (grandson's name)). So I'm thinking I should pick up a book by her to read, and this one sounds pretty good :)

카지노싸이트 Fiction Thriller

The plot is twisty with harrowing scenes, plenty of layers, thought-provoking instances, and a larger-than-life protagonist. The multiple conflicts and the diplomatic challenges move the story forward rapidly. Overall, this is a tense and exciting science fiction thriller that kept me on an emotional rollercoaster.
