Dean's faith in his Crows has at last been rewarded. They bulldozed Carlton tonight and Dean had the closest margin. He may have been 34 points off but it was still closer than any of the rest of us managed. $7.00 goes to the Sacred Heart Mission. Well done!

Unfortunately I missed seeing the mighty Bombers triumph over the Demons (I was busy amusing a 4 year old) but I am still basking in it and constantly looking at the league ladder with glee.
I did get to see the night game (when said 4 year old went to bed) and applaud the efforts of both teams in pouring rain. Their skills exceeded those of Richmond and the Swans who had played the night before.

If only it could have ended at 3/4 time. Essendon had played well up till then (although I do think the Pies should have had more frees). In the final quarter, everything fell apart and the Pies proved they were more accurate, showed more effort and had more stamina. Oh well, bring on Geelong next week (or rather, please don't).
P.S. Should note too the crowd number - 95,179 - packed into the M.C.G. on a glorious ANZAC Day of 25 degrees C.

I was out so didn't see anything of the game but it looks like the Lions responded strongly to criticism of last week's performance by their two forwards, Joe Daniher and Eric Hipwood. Suzy wins another $7.00 for friends With Dignity with her tip of the Lions by 7.
