Almeta, The Zest Is In the Journey

The Topiary Park in Columbus Ohio
a one a kind, unique interpretation of Georges Seurat’s post-impressionist painting, A Sunday Afternoon on the Isle of La Grand Jatte, Topiary Park is — fairly specifically, and somewhat surprisingly — the only topiary representation of a painting in the world. The art installation was officially dedicated in 1992 and consists of 54 people, eight boats, three dogs, a monkey, and a cat, all in the form of topiary sculptures made of yew trees.

When its creator, Jim Reinders, began constructing Carhenge in a Nebraska field in the late ‘80s, he decided to copy the style and circular orientation of the original Stonehenge, which he'd visited and studied in England.
