I finished this one last week and am still digesting as well. Will post my thoughts later on the spoiler thread when I have a chance - I'm still recovering from jet lag and holiday travels!

Random (rand0m1s) | 1223 comments I have it. I just need to finish the ones I'm already in progress on before getting started here.

And I take that back. I've been trying to start it today, but given I'm about to finish up a Witcher marathon, I really need something lighter. Another day for me perhaps.

Wolf_Maiden | 17 comments Just started this one. It's my first time reading Octavia Butler. What sort of sci-fi/fantasy fan am I?!? Hope to finish it within the week. Very bleak beginning so far, but intriguing.

Jacki Morris I spent an hour reading it last night, even after my 2nd shift, being slightly sick, and on 20 mg Melatonin, I had a hard time putting it down to go to bed. I love OB and I'm looking forward to reading this one. I wish my library had the audio version however.

I am finally getting around to reading this. I’m about half done and it’s certainly bleak, but there’s a lot of resiliency. Not always in the most socially acceptable ways, but then what’s acceptable seems to have adapted to the times and conditions. Scary that the book starts in 2024…
