Sophie (sawphie) | 2826 comments Welcome to the second read-a-thon of 2019. The read-a-thon starts from when you wake up on Friday, June 7 until when you go to sleep on Sunday, June 16, and the goal is to read as much as you can and to have tons of fun. It's 10 full days of books and games. Feel free to participate in as few or as many games as you like.

We’ll be posting a game every day, and there is a Team Challenge. It’s not too late to sign up for the team challenge if you wand.

So let’s kick off this read-a-thon with some questions, and don’t forget to keep coming back to the Read-a-Thon folder throughout the week.

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
4. Are you participating in the team challenge?
5. Is anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?

Be sure to check in to the progress thread to update us on your reading throughout the week.

Desiree Germain | 25 comments 1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
To catch up to where I should be for the ATY challenge!

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
I am mostly just looking forward to reading a lot of the books I already own :)

3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
At home and on the commute to work

4. Are you participating in the team challenge?
Yes!

5. Is anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
Having to work all week - but having a long weekend helps.

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
Getting caught up on the challenge and seeing how much I can get through when I focus on reading for a while!

Johanne *the biblionaut* | 1668 comments 1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
Read as much as possible and have fun.

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
All and any of the 80 or so books waiting for me on me on my physical TBR shelf and lying around the house.

3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
The sofa, in bed and if the weather is nice - in the yard. It´s a shared yard, though, and people don´t seem to get the "don´t talk to me, I am reading" message, so we´ll see how that goes.

4. Are you participating in the team challenge?
Yes!

5. Is anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
It´s my birthday today, so guests coming over; life in general and work. It´s a long weekend, so that´s good :)

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
The team challenge, and how that will cheer me on :)

5. Is anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week? Let us cheer you on!
It's my partner's birthday next week and we're supposed to be going away for a few days. But I also have the week off so it should even out.

1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon?
- I want to get ahead on ATY, which would mean reading at least three books for the challenge. I want to read 5 total, and my Read-A-Thon is ending with an 11 hour drive to the mountains, so I think that's doable.

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish?
- I plan on finishing Nine Perfect Strangers, reading Their Eyes Were Watching God and A Woman Is No Man, and picking up a couple of side reads... I have Where'd You Go, Bernadette on audiobook to reread, and a few from the library I'd like to get to.

3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
- In my living room in my red chair! Or on the road on the way to vacation.

4. Are you participating in the team challenge?
- Yes! Go Team Butterfly!

5. Is anything that's going to stand in the way of your reading this week?
- Just general vacation preparation, and I'm working on finishing the yearbook for school before I leave, so I'll probably split my time between reading and yearbooking this week.

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
- Always the games and the discussion that comes with the team challenge!

Ideally, I'd love to read my last 5 books for Popsugar, which would also get me ahead on the ATY summer challenge and put me from slightly behind to slightly ahead on the main ATY challenge. Realistically, if I can just read 2-3 of those I'll be doing great.

4. Are you participating in the team challenge? I just signed up.

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon? Just catching up on the various challenges I'm doing, shrinking my stack 'read these next' books', and of course the team challenge.

Hannah | 384 comments 1. What are your goals for the read-a-thon? To read as much as possible. I would love to finish 6 books. I also want to read some of the 14 books I have out of the library, so I can return them instead of just renew them.

2. Are there any books you're dying to start or finish? I have been struggling to get into Midnight's Children, so having it as part of the read-a-thon will hopefully give me the push I need to read it rather than pick up lots of new books.

3. Where will you be doing most of your reading?
It's supposed to be raining most of next week, so probably on my sofa.

4. Are you participating in the team challenge?
Yes, team Ladybug.

6. What are you most looking forward to with this read-a-thon?
Hopefully getting some good book recommendations to add to my TBR, and working as part of a team.

I’d like to get up to date with my AtY challenge. I’m currently two books behind so I’ll need to finish three books by next Sunday to get up to date.

I’m reading Daisy Jones & The Six at the moment. I’m enjoying it but so far I’m not sure it quite lives up to all the hype. Next I’m probably going to read something by Jenny Colgan as I’m in the mood for something light and fluffy and I normally enjoy her books.

At home, either on my sofa or in bed!

Chatting to people and seeing what people are reading so I can get ideas for books I’d like to read.
