Really!! That's interesting Allie...

Would you supply a link for us Allie? I get lost in YouTube trying to find audioboooks.

It seems unlikely that the ENTIRE book would be free on You Tube.

Uhhhh you think me too tech savvy, Jan!
All I did was search “born a crime audiobook” and it came up right away. The first one that came up says full audiobook and I went for it :)

That’s how I listen to 90% of my audiobooks! You’d be surprised how many are on there :)
But if someone wants to check just to be safe....this said “full audiobook” and is 8 hours and 47 mins long. (And in the first few mins it says it came from Audible.)

I’m liking it more than I thought I would. Although I don’t think it would be the same book for me if I was actually reading it. It seems like I would get bored. But in audiobooks, narration is key and he’s the perfect narrator for his own work.
Really soothing voice to listen to as well.

Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah
Everyone is invited to join us in our Group Read for March & April.
**Please use spoilers when posting your comments.
Trevor Noah is one of the comedy world’s brightest new voices, a light-footed but sharp-minded observer of the absurdities of politics, race, and identity, sharing jokes and insights drawn from the wealth of experience acquired in his relatively young life. As host of The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, he provides viewers in America and around the globe with their nightly dose of biting satire, but here Noah turns his focus inward, giving readers a deeply personal, heartfelt, and humorous look at the world that shaped him.
This collection of eighteen personal essays, tells the story of Trevor as a mischievous young boy who grows into a restless young man as he struggles to find himself in a world where he was never supposed to exist. Born a Crime is equally the story of that young man’s fearless, rebellious, and fervently religious mother—a woman determined to save her son from the cycle of poverty, violence, and abuse that ultimately threatens her own life.
His stories weave together a moving and funny portrait of a lovable delinquent making his way through a damaged world in a dangerous time, armed with only a keen sense of humor and a mother’s unconventional, unconditional love.
