message 2: by Ed (new)

Ed Erwin I've read the first 2 of the 4 parts. It is cute, but I guess it is really aimed mostly at a younger audience, or at least not really aimed at me. I like the art. I like the main characters. But it just doesn't do much for me overall.

Definitely aimed at a younger crowd than The Ukrainian and Russian Notebooks: Life and Death Under Soviet Rule, that's for sure! I liked reading something a bit lighter, though, especially at such a busy time of year. And I appreciated the many literary and pop culture references scattered throughout!

Russell | 80 comments I thought this was a very cute and quick read and I would recommend it to a younger crowd. I enjoyed the sound effects that were emphasized for comedic effect, such as the chase scene. I was giggling by the time that wrapped up at the dock. I know that they were probably going for that "Men in Black" vibe with the government officials chasing Claude, but they came off as more of an Abbott and Costello, which maybe exactly the vibe that Langridge was going for. I am also very bothered that we never learned the name of the one-eyed hunter. It seemed like a name that struck fear into the people that heard it...so it left me oh so curious.

Oh, I don't remember that! Now I'm tempted to go back and read it again.

I did enjoy this one; it was cute and fun.

SuperKimbit | 59 comments I also decided to go back and read this one and I enjoyed it. I reminded me of Lilo and Stitch but not as good. Art was great though. Cute and fun!
