40: A book published in 2017

Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books? It depends , if it's part of a series and by an author I know and love then I will be picking it up to read , but if it's a new to me series or stand a long then i'll just hold off
Are there any other 2017 books you've read / are looking forward to reading : yes to have read , just like this is an ARC from NetGalley I've got ARC copies of Skitter by Ezekiel Boone, The Perfect Strangerby Megan Miranda as well as Moral Defenseby Marcia Clark, all are book 2 to series that I'm reading

A Million Little Things by Susan Mallery (I also received an ARC from Netgalley which I started on 1-3-17.)
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I look forward to new releases from my favorite authors, and tend to lean towards new releases, but I do like waiting for reviews on books too.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
This is my first book for 2017! But I have quite a few new releases in my plan from favorite authors Iris Johansen and James Patterson. I know I will be reading quite a few more!

Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books? I enjoy both. Most new releases I read are from authors who I have already read from and am waiting on their next book. It's not often I will read new releases from authors I have not yet read, especially when it is part of a series. I recently stopped reading series that were not yet finished. I want to be able to read it in its entirety in one go, rather than wait a whole year (or more) and forget what happened!
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading? Yes, a few. I just checked and I have 10 books on my TBR list that are publishing in 2017. Almost half are the beginnings of new series, so I won't be reading them for a few years once the series are completed :)

- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books? It doesn't matter. I read a mix of both.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading? Norse Mythology

I am readingThe Sleepwalker by Chris Bohjalian.
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I typically read older books, but I think this is more because I try not to buy a lot of books, especially newer ones. Until this year, I typically didn't reserve library books if there was a huge wait list (too many other books to read, too impatient to wait for the new ones with 50+ people waiting). I reserved this one months ago and I am the very first to read this particular library copy!
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
No. I don't pay that close attention to books just coming out. This particular challenge has put them more on my radar though.

- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I'm not really fussed. For me it's about ease and cost of access, so that means I'm usually reading older books as newer ones are expensive and have a long wait time at library.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading? Not really.

Wires and Nerve, Volume 1 by Marissa Meyer
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
Depends on the author and the book in question. And on what I'm in the mood for.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
Yes, multiple. I'm most looking forward to A Court of Wings and Ruin, Untitled Chaol Novel, Beach Wedding by Natasha Boyd, King's Cage, Royal Crush to name a few. I'm currently reading Wayfarer which also released this year.

Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I don't really have a preference although I tend to wait a little bit. This year I'm trying to read more new releases so I'm more prepared for the 카지노싸이트 Choice Awards at the end of the year.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
The one I'm most looking forward to is the first book in the new trilogy that follows up from the Red Rising trilogy. I really loved that series. There will also be a new David Baldacci book with the Amos Decker character that I'll probably read. I have my eye on a number of others as well (I have a separate shelf just for 2017 releases and it currently has 25 books on it and continues to grow.)

Muffled Echoes by G.K. Parks
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I tend to read newer books but I like older books as well.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
I'm really looking forward to a few new books from Denise Grover Swank. She's one of my favorite authors and I love two of her current series

Her Every Fear by Peter Swanson
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I read more older books, but if the book sounds interesting and from my favorite authors it does not matter if is old or new.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
Yes, there some books that are coming out that I am looking forward: Once and for All by Sarah Dessen, The Thing About Love by Julie James, Into the Water by Paula Hawkins, and The Perfect Stranger by Megan Miranda.

- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
New releases are a lot more appealing for me. Most of my reads are on the modern side, I don't wander to much on the classic area.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
Several! I already read History Is All You Left Me and The Burning World and I'm looking forward to Traitor to the Throne, Wires and Nerve, The Upside of Unrequited, Release, The Boy on the Bridge, Down Among the Sticks and Bones and The Journey to Dragon Island.

- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books? If one of the authors I like comes out with a new book I get excited about it or if another one in a series is released. Also I guess if a book stays on the bestseller list or is talked about a lot my curiosity gets piqued. Also if a movie is coming out that is based on a book I feel like I have to read the book before the movie comes out.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading? Into the Water

Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk by Kathleen Rooney
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I like to read a combination of old and new.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
Yes, lots of them! Exit West by Mohsin HamidA Piece of the World by Christina Baker Kline South and West: From a Notebook by Joan Didion, The Women in the Castle by Jessica Shattuck, The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden, American Street by Ibi Zoboi and Home by Nnedi Okorafor

Exit West by Mohsin Hamid
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I like it all; but I tend to read older books... I buy new ones on sale and then they collect dust on my bookshelf until I am absolutely ashamed that I haven't read them yet.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
Read, no. But looking forward to, yes! Too many to mention.

Devil in Spring by Lisa Kleypas
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I never really read a lot of NEW books before, but since I joined 카지노싸이트, I've been trying to read more as I always seem to be ignorant of most of the Goodread Choice Awards winners.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
The Chosen by J.R. Ward
Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders (the audiobook)
Idaho by Emily Ruskovich
The Perils of Paulie by Katie MacAlister
Look Behind You by Iris Johansen
Wired by Julie Garwood
Secrets in Death by J.D. Robb

- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books? Other than the price, it matters not to me.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading? I wouldn't have the slightest idea. I am very unaware of things like this. If while driving, I hear about a book on the radio, which interests me and I can remember it...I might read it.

The heart's invisible furies by John Boyne
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
There are a few new books I want to read immediately, but I mostly read books that have been around for awhile.
Are there any other 2017 books you've read/are looking forward to reading?
Not off the top of my head...

Dawn Study by Maria V. Snyder

Norse Mythology
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
A mix of both
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
I have seen another couple of books that looks interesting, but I'll wait till middle of the year before I'll commit to other new releases, my TBR awaits

A Stranger in the Woods by Michael Finkle
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
A mix of both - I like it when I can read books without knowing too much about them, so newer can be fun that way
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
So many! Exit West was great, I am looking forward to the American War and Lincoln in the Bardo

A Fine Gentleman by Sarah M. Eden
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
Both! I have such a long TBR, but when I get the circulars for my local bookstores or read my book blogs, I always add more and get excited for new releases!
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
Probably, but as I'm going back to school soon recreational reading time may become scarce...

I am reading Mind Over Meds: Know When Drugs Are Necessary, When Alternatives Are Better--and When to Let Your Body Heal on Its Own by Andrew Weil, M.D.
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I don't have a preference but I tend to read more established books, unless I win it or the library has it on display with the new books. I won this book via a 카지노싸이트 Giveaway.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
I have two other GR giveaways that were published in 2017, that I'm hoping to get to this summer - The Fortunate Ones and The Women in the Castle. I might be interested in The Legends of Luke Skywalker by Ken Liu. He is an amazing SF author! The book comes out in October.

The Upside of Unrequited
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I read both.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
I'm currently reading The Color Project. And I have a lot more 2017 releases I want to read.

History of Wolves
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I really don't have a preference.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
Oh yes, have huge list!

The Color Project by Sierra Abrams
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I don't read a lot of books as they are released, as I only have a few auto-buy authors. And my owned tbr is huge.
Are there any other 2017 books you've read/are looking forward to reading?
This is my first 2017 release. I have a couple more that I'm excited about. Not sure what else is being released, to be honest.

Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books? It depends on the story, but I enjoy fiction from all time periods.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading? To date for 2017 releases, my TBR list includes Lincoln in the Bardo, Exit West, History of Wolves, Idaho, One of the Boys and The Hate U Give.

Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books? It depends on my mood.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading? This is my first.

Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I don't really have a preference.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
So far I've read: Here We Are: Feminism for the Real World & Traitor to the Throne and enjoyed both.
And some I'm looking forward to reading: The Hate U Give, Flame in the Mist, Once and for All, Exit West, Since We Fell & The Crown's Fate.

- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books? I prefer reading older, more established books mainly because they are easier to obtain from the library!
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading? Into the Water by Paula Hawkins

The Little French Bistro
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I tend to read older books as I'm always behind on my TBR.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
I read The Chilbury Ladies' Choir as an ARC in December 2016. That's the only other 2017 release I've read so far.

EDIT: I need to find something from 2017 to read ASAP.
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
More established but I'll read anything that sounds interesting enough.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
I am really bad about new release dates but I do want to read Into the Water, even though it's getting some bad reviews.

I used to prefer to read older books, for many reasons, not least because I don't like to read hardback books. But now I have a Kindle...
There aren't any new books I'm looking forward to in particular, as I'm used to waiting for a while after ralease anyway. My favourite authors are mostly dead but I look forward to the next Liane Moriarty and Val McDermid but have no idea when they are due or when I will read them!

- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
older books
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
I have many on my list: Behind her eyes, hundred lies of lizzie lovety, lost girls and many more

- What are you reading this week?

Idaho, by Emily Ruskovich
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I tend to read newer books for the most part, but I'm pretty open to anything that people I trust enjoy and that have compelling plot blurbs.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
I don't think I've read anything published in 2017 yet, but I'm looking forward to reading:
Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body, by Roxane Gay.
Lincoln in the Bardo, by George Saunders.
Sing, Unburied, Sing, by Jesmyn Ward.

The Bear and the Nightingale by Katherine Arden.
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?

Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
No.

Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh

The Hate U Give
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I read mostly newer releases, basically books published in the last 10-ish years, but I don't go out of my way to find new books, just ones that look interesting.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
Most of the ones I was excited about ended up getting bad reviews, so right now? Not really.

-- What are you reading this week? I'm reading Geekerella by Ashley Poston (I might have already finished it).
-- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books? I like reading a mixture of both. As a blogger/booktuber/bookstagrammer it's important to read the newer books because they are getting the hype and the advertisement, but I love reading older books just as much. So I mix up what I read. I read what I want no matter if it's new or old, although review books do take a priority.
-- Are there any other 2017 books you've read/are looking forward to reading? Yes. I've read House of Ash by Hope Cook which comes out September 26, 2017. I'm going to be posting my review closer to the release date, but it was AWESOME!!!! I'm also planning on reading Zero Repeat Forever by Gabrielle Prendergast which comes out August 29, 2017.

I'm reading The Refugees by Viet Thanh Nguyen
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I usually read both, but most of my reads seem to be between five and ten years old. Usually when a book is popular, I feel like I hear about it several years after everyone else. =)
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
I read Norse Mythology and plan to read Lincoln in the Bardo at some point soon.

- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books? I like new releases
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading? I have heard a lot of good things about Final Girls and hope that the new Rizzoli and Isles I Know a Secret is good.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I read both. If it is part of a series I am reading I like to try and read it the same year it comes out!
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
There are a few of them for sure:
A Court of Wings and Ruin, King's Cage, Caraval, Beauty and the Beast: Lost in a Book, Dark Legacy, Sleep Like a Baby, Just to name a few!

Wayfarer by Alexandra Bracken
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
It doesn't really matter to me. This one was in a series that I was reading so it was nice to get into the series when the 2nd book was already out.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
No. I'm not reading any new series that new books would be coming out right now and I haven't been keeping up on what will be coming out this year.

Warcross by Marie Lu
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
A mixture of both.
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
Yes a few other, some sequels in series' and a few star wars novels.

Idaho by Emily Ruskovich
- Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I don't tend to read new releases as soon as they come out (I add them to my TBR but by the time I get to them they are usually not considered 'new' anymore!)
- Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
There are a few I've heard about that sound interesting, e.g. Final Girls and Little Fires Everywhere

Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
Since getting more "involved" in the book-ish community online, I'm reading more new releases since I hear about them, but I read plenty of backlist books! I only really screen out nonfiction that's old enough to probably be outdated.
Are there any other 2017 books you've read/are looking forward to reading?
I've really enjoyed A Conjuring of Light, A Closed and Common Orbit, Word by Word: The Secret Life of Dictionaries, How Dare the Sun Rise: Memoirs of a War Child, and Down Among the Sticks and Bones. I still need to make time to sit down with Beren and Lúthien!

Final Girls
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I do not usually check the publishing date when I pick out books. It is more difficult to get new books out at the library if they are highly anticipated. That being said, since starting this group I have been introduced to more classics which has opened my eyes to some new great stories.
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
The goodreads awards are starting soon, so being curious I looked at my list to see if I had some on it. I was surprised to find quite a few that I have read and plan to read.
I am looking forward to reading Oathbringer

Her Every Fear by Peter Swanson
Do you prefer reading new releases or older, more established books?
I usually read older books, as I seem to be on a catch up process with a lot of authors
Are there any other 2017 books you’ve read/are looking forward to reading?
Any that continue any of the series I am reading

Here's my list:
You Don't Have to Say You Love Me 4 stars
The Alice Network 3 stars
Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine 4 stars
Miss Burma 4 stars
Salt Houses 4 stars
At Home in the World 4 stars
The Best We Could Do 3 stars
Exit West 4 stars
The Hate U Give 4 stars
The Not-Quite States of America: Dispatches from the Territories and Other Far-Flung Outposts of the USA 4 stars
Caraval 3 stars
Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk 5 stars
The Bear and the Nightingale 4 stars
I'm about to finish A Closed and Common Orbit too, and anticipate a 5 star rating for this one.
I also want to read Swimming Lessons, Sourdough, The Pearl Thief and Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI before the end of the year.
