Ha! Thanks Liz.

message 14: by Heather (new)

Heather Morris | 125 comments I read All the Way to Heaven by Becky Doughty
I enjoyed this book immensely! I wanted to read a book in a genre that I've never read before. So I picked CHRISTIAN. I'm not a religious person (or against religion, I just wasn't raised in a house that went to a church) so I was wondering how religious a book in the Christian genre would be, turned out it wasn't much different than reading any other romantic light hearted book.
It was a very wonderfully written book! Amazing descriptions of Italy that made me think I was right there with Ani. I will definitely read more books from this author!

Scoring:
Genre:
5 points if the book you read is in a genre you have never read.
3 points if the book you read is in the genre you listed.

Author:
5 points if the author is from the country you live in.
3 points if the author is female.

Setting:
2 points - set in Italy

Characters: - must be more than just a mention
3 points - physician (Janice, I need a little judgement call on this one. The character is a doctor, it doesn't state what type of doctor until 3/4 of the way through the book. It ends up he is a cosmetic surgeon, does that count for physician?)

Pages:
c. 300-399 pages = 3 points

Bonus Points: 0

Total points 25 (Depending on Janice's ruling)
I will edit the post after hearing what she has to say.

Janice, I need a ruling. Oh, actually you read the book, right? The main character has a dog but only for a short while, does that count?
And the book follows the MC's life, so in the last few chapters she's over 60 but in most of the book she's not. Points or no points? :)
