My ideas for the 2016 List.

I am done with the ones with the Cover and chose those specifically for this challenge. The links fit the categories and I read them this year but not especially for this challenge (I read those for the Popsugar Challenge) and the rest are just some ideas.

I just started to read "To Kill a Mockingbird" and am really enjoying it. And it fits so many of the categories of this challenge: 9,10,11,18,21,25

Since I started the challenge late, I am behind on the first 12 categories. I caught up a little with n°8 "The Old Man and the Sea" and just love, that this challenge makes me read things, I might not have considered otherwise.

Since I already did #14 I will use this week to catch up on either #3, #6, #7 or #12.
Also I got interested in the Book of the Month for April "The Cuckoo's Calling" and will use it as my #29.

Thank you! I am really getting into this challenge - it's so much fun.

I just revised my plan, which set me back a little. I am curious to see, if my new plan will work or if I am overreaching.

Week 15 is not my favorite topic. It took me a while to find something I'd like to read: The Color Purple.
Since I don't have the book yet, I'm obliged to skip #15 for now. I will get back to it around week 18. The same applies to #16.

So this will be my week to catch up on #3, #2 and #4. I am looking forward to my choice for #3 especially.

Caught up with #2, #3, and #4.

Still waiting for my books for week 15 and 16, so I will use the time to catch up on #7 and #8. Additionally, I am jumping around a little bit and started with my choice for #22.

I finished #8 and #22 as planned and caught up with #5, #11, #15, #16, #18, #23 and #25.

I am already done with my book for this week 27. Since I am also done with my choices for #28 and #29, I will use these 3 weeks to catch up - I am 3 books behind scedule.

#6, #7, #9, #10, #17, #19, #20, #21, #24, and #26 are still open. But I am a little undecided what to read next. I started with #19 and #21 but get distracted by my side reads a lot.

Wanted to read something for #9, but found something for #49 instead - the bell jar just fits so many of the categories.

Decided my #5 really fit #17 better - I just really like the cover art of Angelfall.

So now I am 2 books behind scedule and still have a lot of open categories: #5, #6, #7, #9, #10, #19, #20, #21, #24, and #26.

Finally caught up with my book for #6: The Name of the Wind. I have been avoiding this for quiet a while - it is just sooo long. But I enjoyed it immensely. I love that this challenge made me read it.

I love that you loved it! It is one of my favorite book despite its lenght.

Back on track with my book for #47 The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie.
I didn't find any books that greatly interested me with a type of food or drink in the title, and am really happy I stumpled over this one. I got the idea to read this book from a community group read.

Still have to catch up with #5, #7, #9, #10, #19, #20, #21, #24, and #26.

I really enjoyed "Sweetness at the bottom of the pie" too. The main character was very precocious.

I'll be interested to see what you think of Naked in Death. I'm reading that for the Popsugar "romance set in the future" prompt - seriously strange.

Oh! I didn't know Naked in Death is set in the future. I added it to my TBR recently but it's great to find a place for it :)

Apparently! :) It came up when I searched, they're apparently set in the "near future".

All of the In Death series takes place in future New York city. The are a gritty romance/murder mystery, and also the reason I joined 카지노싸이트. I needed away to keep track of which I need O had already read.

Yes, she was and I quiet liked that. But I thought it was a little unbelievable that she's supposed to be just 11-years-old.

Maybe I would have gotten into the story better, if I had seen it as a romance from the start. It was recommended to me as a crime story set in the future and I don't think the crime story is really well designed. I might like it a lot better if I change my mindset to lovestory instead of crime.

So maybe I will give the crime aspect another chance :) There must be a reason the series is so successful with 44 books and still running.

I don't like romance, and I'm not that fussed on things set in the future, so I have very low expectations on this one. :)

Anne you are right about her being a little unbelievable. I homeschool my children, so if she was given a chemistry set and large amounts of time to spend with it she maybe able to come up with some of those ideas. It would still be a stretch though.

Juhu! Finally on track: 3 books ahead of schedule. What an effect a week without internet can have :)

Finished my choice for #5 Apprentice (which I sadly found really disappointing) and for #19 Gut (which I liked a lot).

Now I have time to catch up with #7, #9, #10, #20, #21, #24, and #26.

I am currently trying to finish a lot of books I started, but it's surprisingly difficult. Lots of choices I thought I would love are not quiet my thing - e. g. the book thief.

Well, this is annoying: can't add any more covers because there are no characters left in my original post. Had to delete some stuff from my list.

I caught up to #26 with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I liked it but I in general have a problem with time travelling stories that open up parallel realities. I find that illogical.

Now I am trying to figure out what to read next.

It happened to me too and I found a good way to remove some characters! If you remove the name of the book between the square brackets, the book cover this appears because it is linked to the number I guess. I kept the first letter of the title just to be sure, but the number of characters still decreases a lot.

Example:
original form: [ bookcover:Frankenstein|18490 ]
shorter form: [ bookcover:F|18490 ] and it still displays the cover (I just copied without the spaces)

I tried it and it works. This is great! Even by just deleating some words from really long titles I saved a number of characters. Thank you, Sophie!

9, 21, 33, 37, 38, 42, 45 - still some categories left. I am confident to finish 4 of these, but the other 3...

Done with #9 and #37 (that category was a tough one for me, since I hate reading stories I already know).

On track with #21, # 38, and #45.

#42 is another tough one since my chosen book is a little long. If I make it I will have to cheat with #33, because I just haven't been in the mood for the 16th book on my to read list all year long. I might just take a book of one of my sub "to-be-read" lists instead.

Did almost make it on my vacation, only didn't finish my choice for #42. But since I only started with the challenge in April I think that is still pretty good.

I participate in the challenge again in 2017 and started in time this year. Looking forward to trying again.
