In the game of Clue, the cellar holds the envelope with the solution to the mystery. In real life, many cellars hold wine. Read a book set in one of the top 10 countries for wine consumption. For the purposes of this task, we'll use this list of countries:

Bea I have been trying to get to Foucault's Pendulum for several seasons. Perhaps this task will do it.

-------------

Changed my mind! I will be reading The Honorary Consul instead. It is set in Argentina.

Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) | 11182 comments If I recall correctly, Lady Chatterley's Lover is set mostly in England but it's been years since I read it. If you read it and find that at least half of the book is set in Italy it would work, but if not it won't.

message 12: by Kristina Simon (new)

Kristina Simon (kristinasimon) | 11182 comments If at least half of the The Scarlet Pimpernel is set in France, it will work.

Sure. Rome works. Time period doesn't matter.

Bec (foreverfnm) | 132 comments Wondering if I could read Siberian Education: Growing Up in a Criminal Underworld - the blurb says "In a contested, lawless region between Moldova and Ukraine known as Transnistria, a tightly knit group of "honest criminals"—exiled there by Stalin-live according to strict codes of ritualized respect and fierce loyalty."

So will a contested region work... I'm pretty sure the area is actually considered Moldova... does anyone actually know? But I haven't read anything from there so I'd love to!

It does appear that Transnistria is an unrecognized state claimed by Mondova. I don't know what's going on with the political situation in Transnistria but for the purposes of this task, the book will work. Please note that the book was approved when you claim it so Sandy won't have to rethink it.

I've read this one - it takes place completely in Italy. Really good book, too.

That'll work, Alison. Hope you enjoy it!

The description says Greenwich Village, New Orleans, and Italy. If the characters spend at least half the book in Italy, it'll work. If not, then it won't. Since it's not obvious, you'll need to make it clear when you post how much of the book takes place in Italy.

The first sentence of the book's description says "In this volume, Tom arrives at Donostia prison in Southern France...." - so you're good.
