Meagan knocked it out of the park yet again! This series hasn’t ever disappointed me, & this book was no different. I’m not even a fan of the friends to lovers trope but I was kicking my feet so hard over the trope in this book!!! It was a genius move to keep the mmc a secret, even going as far as having TWO mmc POVs & not having readers find out which mmc Cameron ends up falling for until the last few chapters- no matter how anxiety-inducing it was😅 I definitely had a particular mmc that I was rooting for, but was he endgame? I can’t say🤷🏻♀️ regardless, I loved the book.
Cam is a spitfire! She’s confident, ballsy, fun, energetic, carefree, & a sweetheart. I was not a fan of Alister going into this book so ofc I was #TeamBrady… but I lowkey started rooting for Alister too🫣 he was determined, remorseful, kind, hardworking & a gentleman despite his history, & he had me swooning! Brady, my gentle giant!! Whether you got the girl in the end or not, I still love you❤️🩹 Take everything you know about Brady from the previous books & throw it out the window, because this man is so misunderstood & pure despite the image he paints of himself🥹 he’s the biggest flirt, with the kindest heart & most fiercely protective nature.
This was a SLOWBURN! The couple only really becomes an endgame at about 90%, so the tension within the triangle was palpable & the wait was excruciating, but so worth it. Meagan gave us tension, intense yearning, angst, longing, chemistry, & an undeniable push & pull between BOTH Cam+Alister & Cam+Brady. Also, this book is *very* low on smut, so the connections felt much deeper & stronger, rather than just being physical💜
𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐢𝐟 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞: College football romance, love triangle, fake dating, slow burn, 2 male POVs but only 1 gets the girl…
Thank you to Meagan for the eArc 💜🎆🏈
