while it’s not my absolute favorite in the series (that title still belongs to finale), it is a close second.

the wintery vibes were everything. it was so magical!!

AND THE ILLUSTRATIONS? GIRLIE THEY WERE IMMACULATE.

and the legend/tella we get in this is 🤭🤭🤭🤭

from the ending, i feel like there will be a spring novella with a ouabh crossover. and i am SO DOWN.

now, to what i DIDNT like in this book

SPOILERS (but let’s bsfr, why would you read this book without finishing the rest of the series?)

what the hell-uh sorry i meant…HECK (that was a christmas chronicles reference 😅) is up with scarlett’s fated dress suddenly being a dress again?
at the end of finale, her dress is destroyed. julian picks of the dress scraps and sews them together into gloves HIMSELF.
that was genuinely my favorite scene in the ENTIRE series and garber’s just like: “NAH, i want her dress back!!” 😤🤬😭 *throws a toddler fit*

*sigh*
well there goes my fav scene bc this book is canon 😀


– PLOT –

it’s great holiday eve eve and tella has yet to find a gift for legend, whom she fears is becoming distant and falling out of love with her. the one way to fix this? get him the PERFECT holiday gift ever to be gifted! the only question is… where can you get a gift like that?


– CHARACTERS –

TELLA she pissed me off SO BADLY the majority of the book. bc she was taking gosh awful advice from this stupid booklet the whole time. i just wanted to throttle her.

you don’t beat around the bush with problems in your relationship. you have to address them or they’ll grow into an unbreachable chasm separating you.

LEGEND as always, i love him. my fav character in the whole series.
he’s perfect 🤭😌

JULIAN my boy had his gloves turned into a dress 😔😔 poor kid.
we stan julian tho

SCARLETT she was unimportant overall 😭😭 which bummed me bc she’s the better of the two sisters (tella is lwk so selfish)


– CONCLUSION –

idec if it’s not christmas anymore, you will read this as soon as you finish caraval (if you haven’t finished it alr and in that case you will read it now 😌)
it’s short (220 pages i think) and you can get through it in one day bc the font is huge and the spacing is also huge and there’s barely any words on each page bc of the illustrations 😅
