This novel was a nice surprise! I actually passed this one up as a BOTM a couple of months ago but was able to get from my local library.

Once There Were Wolves is a small book but it has a lot going on. All of the information about rewilding was very enlightening. The author was able to get her point across without sounding preachy. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed that aspect of the story. It also touches on domestic violence and rape. And to top it all off there is a murder to solve. Saving wolves and solving murders in just a little over 250 pages, it was very well done. I highly recommend this one!
