I was one of those people that really and I mean REALLY didn't enjoy the last book of the series but certain stories in this definitely had my forgiving it a little.
I personally loved that our two protagonists from scythe don't have a short story within this collection. We've seen their stories spent our time with them we can move on. Instead we got amazing back stories to some of our side scythes. We got to know more about how some scythes gleaned, the issues scythes had and the corruption of the world. We just got to see more of the world and have wonderful conversations on humanity and freedom.
This felt like a vivid expansion of the world for me. I would 100% not be mad if we had more short story collections like this one.
