There are a number of sections in the book for the recipes: Breakfasts Smoothies Lunch Family Dinners Power Bowls Warm Veggie Sides Fancy Salads Desserts
Each recipe includes the servings (though some of it is in cups), calories and macronutrients, ingredients in both imperial and metric measurements and stepped instructions. Not all the recipes have a colour photograph though those that do look edible. I like the way the recipes also include the calories and macronutrients if you add a suggested extra.
Overall its an interesting book of recipes, they are American, so I'm not sure some of the ingredients could be found in my English supermarket. Now, my main gripe with this book is the use of protein powders in many of the recipes in the breakfasts, smoothie and desserts sections; I understand that protein is important in the diet, but putting it in the recipe is not for me thank you very much.

One evening his mum helps and over hears the new neighbours in a suspicious conversation. This leads Lena to snoop in their house as she still has a spare key. She discovers odd newspaper cuttings which centre around her time as a trainee midwife, with her mentor and a doctor from the hospital the subject of the cuttings.
Well its a good enough story, it flashes back between the past and present as seen from Lena and Henry's (new neighbour) eyes. It's a bit slow to start off, some of the actions and situations Lena puts herself in are rather silly (think Eastenders plot - bit farcical but they do it anyway) and the end suddenly rushes up to met you!

It didn't bring too much of the tudor royal court into it, which was good. It focused mainly on the ordinary folk of the time, including a ruffian and hid sister. A few other famous names popped up, Sir Walter Raleigh, Marlowe, Green to name a few, but they kept to the fringes.

This book has the following 7 recipe sections: Breakfast Breads & Flatbreads Vegetables Beef, Veal. Lamb, Pork & Rabbit Poultry Seafood Desserts
First off the recipes have imperial measurements (cups) and Fahrenheit temperatures, though there is a handy metric conversion chart of the rear of the book. Included is the servings size, active time (I assume this is prep) and has a Total Time rather than cooking time. There are numbered steps to follow. Only a handful of recipes have a colour photograph included.
Overall, its interesting but its lacking pictures, facts on why use a skillet, timings seem odd, so I'm rather underwhelmed with this cookery book.

As the cleaner she can sneak around the homes, searching for clues without being suspected.
A revenge story with a bit of a twist that I didn't see coming. Sometimes it was a little slow, the occupants a little dull, especially the man obsessed with his poetry but otherwise I enjoyed this novel.

I'm not sure if its because the characters are rather one dimensional or the story itself, whilst promising in its idea, just doesn't make for an interesting read.

Whilst there are photographs of treats in the book, the image credits come from Unsplash or licenced from Shutterstock and Stockfood - does this mean none of the recipes have actually been photographed for this book and all come from stock images? If so that is extremely disappointing.

Following the life of Layla as she struggles to come to terms not only with the death of her fiance but his betrayal and finding out hRating 3.5 stars
Following the life of Layla as she struggles to come to terms not only with the death of her fiance but his betrayal and finding out he'd been keeping even more secrets from her. She is supported by her best friend Faith and her dad and they want to accept the unexpected inheritance she has been left and stop her from leaving her home.
We then see her set up the club once she accepts the money, getting her dads old band back together to play on opening night, though that is marred by her estranged mother, who claims she had an affair with one of the band members at the time she got pregnant. Her dad and Layla take DNA tests to discover the truth and confront the other band member with the information.
Layla is a bit of a busy body, and that probably comes from being a freelance reporter, though I'm surprised she does want to write about this reclusive musician. She meddles in her friend Faith love life, and also get involved in the rumours surrounding the reclusive musician.
Its a simple story of betrayal, finding out truths and moving on. It was a quick read, though I did get bored with the tiny details of the napkins, menus and so forth of the upcoming club.
Overall its an alright story, nothing to tax the brain or to surprise you, and could be set almost anywhere, as the descriptions of this Scottish village are sparce.

All the evidence pointed to her even though her daughters body was never found, everyone on her estate thought she did it.
After being released, Beverly contacts Ruby Baker, a trainee at a Brighton salon, who in her spare time runs a detective agency with her friends. Beverly asks Ruby to find her daughter as she believes she is still alive.
At the same time as Beverlys release, a young girl is found on the beach, another girl tries to wander off with a little girl and a body is washed up on shore. Are all these events linked to Beverlys return or are they just the usual incidents in a busy seaside town?
It was an Interesting story set in the 1960s but I felt it dragged along for quite a bit of the story and then came to an abrupt halt when it wrapped up, or rather it didn't really as it felt like more could have been said. (The story ended at 88% of the length of the book).
Some of the descriptions of certain Brighton incorrect, hilly streets when they are not and the beach to have sand, it always seems too stony. At one point Marys baby appears to do things beyond her 4 months age.
Plus there was the bizarre "slang words" list at the end of the book, which would have made more sense if it included only 1960 references rather than modern day ones too.

This is an interesting cookery book for the latest kitchen gadget, the air-fryer.
The first section of this cookery book begins with batch prepping some vegetable bags, marinates, how to chop up a whole chicken. Then it moves onto the pantry/cupboard ingredients with some easy to do air fryer recipes: herby canned potatoes, corned beef hash, chilli con carne. Then it limits the recipes as it mentions air fryer oven - which are different to the basket only types, with many of the recipes using the rotisserie part.
Next we go onto a mix of basket and dual air fryer recipes for poultry, meat, fish, vegetarian, potatoes, and vegetables. Following on from this we have sections called 7 days of dinners and finally baking.
Each recipe provides information on how many it serves, the type of air-fryer to use, prep time, cooking time, a list of ingredients (imperial and metric measurements are given), along with stepped instructions with both Celsius and Fahrenheit temperatures. not all the recipes have colour photographs with them, but the ones that do look lovely.
Now this book has only rated a 3.5 stars from me because of the way it is laid out I'm not sure what this book was trying to be. Am I prepping or am I making on the fly? Some of the recipes restrict it to one type of air-fryer.
