What Members Thought
I didnt care much for this book. It was really slow at parts and I didn't really like the Protag much so didnt get emotionally involved with his search and its repercussions. I know Ellroy believes his mother was killed by the same killer but of course, none of that comes out in this book which is fiction. Plus I didn't really buy who the killer was or the cover-up it produced at all.

This book was so hard for me to get into let alone finish. I felt the writing was boring, the story so-so, and overall I was just disappointed with it.
