What Members Thought

I immediately fell in love with this book, and had read in no time. I love the way Maggie writes, almost in poetry, and that you hear the story from both Grace and Sams point of view.
When i finished the book i sad with tears in my eyes, and just wanted more of their world.
I really recommend to read this book if you like sweet romance, werewolves and a little mystery.

I truly loved this book. Sam, Grace, the wolves, the cold, the heat, all of the elements and characters in it merge to make a truly enchanting and romantic story.
The story begins with Grace on winter, always noticing that a yellow-eyed wolf is watching her. Yet, she's not afraid. She's drawn to him without a reason.
On the other hand, Sam is also drawn to Grace. He has always loved her. He lives two lives: As a wolf, watching Grace over, and as a human, loving the girl he's never talked to.

Wow! I have decided that any book that actually makes me cry must be a REALLY good book. I cannot wait to read the next one and continue this story. At the beginning I wasn't too certain. It took me about a third of the book to really get into it. But, it was so romantic with just enough suspense that I finished the rest in one night. I couldn't fall asleep without finding out what happened to the characters. Great story and I wish I really had made the drive to New Orleans!

This is my third time reading Shiver. And every time is just as breathtaking as the last. There's nothing I could write that would do this book justice. It's a love story. It's a song. It's a poem you read when you were a child and didn't understand and remembered years later with tears. It's a pleasant ache that grows page by page until it completely overpowers every other sense you have and turns your heart to mush. It's brilliant.

Sweet coming of age novel about a girl growing into herself and her place in the world...and along the way, discovering her relationship to the wolves in her backyard is more personal than she ever expected.
I loved the quiet, down-to-earth characters and sleepy small town feel. I still think werewolves are cooler than vampires, but maybe that's because they're more earthy and less ethereal. ...more
