Excellent reread that I did not expect to be doing. But once I started I could not stop. Le Fanu is famous for Carmilla and other smaller darker stories, but Uncle Silas is frigging awesome. The characters in this story are so Le Fanu. It's a Gothic masterpiece!!!!!! Highly recommended.
