4.5 stars!!
Kill Game is a book whose plot (serial killer!), characters (a homicide detective -- who can do Krav Maga by the way -- and a bail enforcement agent), chemistry (sizzles), action (fast-paced!), and romantic development (strong and steady; the sex near the end is pretty hot too) is RIGHT up my alley! It definitely is one of my favorite reads of the year...

I'd love to do an in-depth review of this fantastic cat and mouse serial killer story, that also has a smoldering, take it slow after a night of screaming sex romance, with diverse and interesting secondary characters, but I'm too busy reading book two, Trick Roller. Go read some of the other awesome reviews out there or, even better, just pick up the book and get to it. I'm sure I can't be the last person to jump on this train.

I'm so excited that there's an entire series planned. Can't wait until book 2 is published.

Second time just as good as the first. I love how Kingsbridge writes. Something about how she writes characters and their complexity rings so believable to me. She gives enough detail to convince you that the characters live rich, full lives with families and friends and dentist appointments just out of your view without dumping too much minutiae to clog the wild ride into this thrill a minute my ...more

What an awesome start to a new series! I have only read a fantasy story of Cordelia Kingsbridge’s before (and once at that, mind you) so I really have no idea as this is a totally different genre. The blurb piqued my interest though, and boy do I get a treat!

Very enjoyable mystery/suspense/romance. I'm a fan of Kingsbridge's earlier online original fiction, so it was interesting to dive into her "pro" work. The characters were interesting. I appreciated the variety of side characters, like Levi's detective partner, or Dominic's family. It's a "sensible slow burn" that works well, building chemistry and the relationship throughout.

This was just okay and apparently you'll need to read several more books to get a resolution to the case. No thanks.
