There are so many good lines from this book. It's tragic, but hopeful; deeply relevant still today.

My daughter was studying WWII, so I decided to have us read The Hiding Place aloud as our spiritual book for the term to complement her studies. I had read this story of a family, specifically of two sisters, who are sent to a concentration camp before and watched the movie and remembered how much I had been moved by their story. I loved this book and the hope that shone out of darkness. Very inspirational. At times I wept, at times I prayed. I read this in one day. Had a hard time putting it down. Some of my favorite parts were the words from her father, like about the suitcase and also how Betsie spoke encouraging words about their captors.

There simply aren't words for how moved I was by this book. Corrie ten Boom's testimony of God's faithfulness, presence, and protection is inspiring. She was a remarkable woman of faith.
