⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖࣪ potential spoilers ahead!

ultimately, I really enjoyed this. I love the world and the characters so much. but, I still feel just that little bit disappointed. I guessed most of the major reveals in this one, some as early as the first book, which I think took away some of the magic for me that I felt reading powerless.

and I feel sad about the ending - that was really not how I wanted it to play out and solve itself. sometimes losing a character you really loved feels like losing a friend ...more

The only way to describe this book is with two words: EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER!

It's been about a week since I finished this, and I'm still gawking, processing the events and how good it was.

This was the end of an era, of a period of about one year and a half of my life... and it just makes the book more special and significant. And even though it was hard, I hurt lots of times, it also made me laugh, kick my feet and just fall in love wit ✨ 5 / 5 starsss ✨

I really don't have the words to express how much it means to me, and how happy the journey from the first to here has made me. I'll always have Pae and Kai in my heart, since they were one of the first characters to really get me and make me obsessed every day of my life.

The story was fantastic, the plot twist ATE, no other words, and the thing that worried me the most about the book was dealt with pretty fine. I was hella worried about their forbidden/confessed romance and how that was going to be played, if it would burn us... but damn. It wasn't just sweet and risky, even after admitting their love for each other, Kai and Pae still felt like them. The banter was still there, the flirting and the... QUOTES—

THE WAS BOTH KAI AND PAEDYN ATE HERE?! LIKE MA'AM, PLEASE LET ME REQUEST TO HAVE A MAN THINK ABOUT ME THE WAY THESE TWO FEEL, TALK AND THINK ABOUT EACH OTHER.

LASTLY, I CRIED A LOT. Like heaven knows how many tissues I wasted. I'm very sensitive but shy, and THE BOOK MADE ME CRY IN FREAKING CLASS. IN FRONT OF EVERYONE, SOMETHING I'D NORMALLY HOLD. So yeah, just so you see. For the ones who are truly invested in the story, this will be a hell of an emotional rollercoaster.

again, thank you Lauren Roberts for bringing this characters and their story to my life, I'll never forget about them and have them in my heart.

A last moment of silence to appreciate Kitt, because I've never stopped believing in him, and it broke me. It literally wrecked me, realizing how much I hoped for him... but I knew that would happen. After finishing Reckless I could imagine just one way for them to be truly happy together... and even though I expected it, Kitt completely broke me. I love you man, I'm so happy you're with Dena and Mak. ✨🩷
