Good Start, but lacking in the middle...

So when the book started, I was really into it. It was engaging, and exciting, but then somewhere in the middle it kind of tapered out, and I found myself wanting to skim.

I also felt like this book good have really been elaborated. It seemed, at times, that the author could've included more details, especially when it came to character development. Sometimes, the characters were lacking, and it left me unsure on their feelings, personality, looks, etc.

This was not really my genre, so I feel like I went into with some biased notions, but in the end, it was a well written novel. It was clear the author was very knowledgeable on the subject, and so the plot and storyline seemed very believable.

There was a lot of action, and I know this seems crazy, but at times it seemed like too much. Almost like overboard with the twists and turns. Although, i know a lot of readers really like that sort of thing.

You’re skillfully drawn by intrigue into the story from Sarah M. Ross dropping you into a black hole of despair at the get-go. Darkness fades away as the preceding series of events are then revealed.

Most notably a mutual attraction needing a chance to breathe for a relationship to develop. But futures being threatened make it a bit complicated. Death is a risk in the fight to survive.

All of the events beg the question, does a vow to Never Gonna Tell ever ensure safety?

Ups & Downs...

When I started reading, I was totally in to it. It seemed like it was going to be full of action and adventure, and for the most part, that was true. Unfortunately, I struggled with the characters, and the believability. The characters and I didn't really mesh well, and there were numerous times I was like, no way that would happen. There was a lot that was just too far-fetched, and while I did finish the book, it just didn't leave me with warm and fuzzy feelings.

With that said, t

Interesting plot and characters kept me reading. However, character reactions to each other and to events were not always believable. For example, Marco is ticked and leaves her alone in a cabin. She wanders away but returns. When they get back together, everything is hunky-dory between them. Really? Since this is not a self-published novel, I expected better.
