For me, I'd say
Last Days of Summer by Steve Kluger is it. Awesome book about the relationship between a precocious kid and his baseball star idol, written in an epistolary style.

I just let go of "20000 Leagues Under The Sea". I loved "Around the World In 80 Days", but the chapter upon chapter of describing the landscape caused me to lose interest.
