Roger Langridge "Writer's block" is a contentious term, but we all get stuck sometimes. I find a good way to shake things up is to change my writing method. If I've been working on a computer, I might switch to pencil and paper. If I've been working at home, I might go for a walk and spend an hour or so writing somewhere else. Changing your surroundings is a good way to stimulate different parts of your brain and give you a fresh outlook.
Roger Langridge I wake up every weekday at 5am, sit down at the keyboard and start to write (when my family are still asleep, so I'm not interrupted). That's all the inspiration you need: sit down and write! For me, to a large extent, the process itself is what makes the ideas flow. Waiting for inspiration is a lovely idea but I don't know anybody who actually works that way on any kind of professional basis. It's a job; it's a good idea to treat it like one.
