I would travel back in time and ask the forgiveness of the people of Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos (these countries made up what was known as French Indochina). No matter what anyone says about it, the facts are that the allies interfered with a sovereign nation before invading it and committing many war crimes upon the population of Vietnam. Examples of these war crimes are the bombing of the civilian areas of Haiphong and Hanoi, the indiscriminate use of "Agent Orange' which was sprayed in saturation quantities upon jungle, villages and what was once productive farmland. Added to that were incidences of deliberate artillery shelling of Vietnamese civilians who were herding their cattle between Hoa Long andLong Phuc and other places close to Nui Dat. Once or twice may have been accidental, but the shelling occurred sixteen times! Therefore it was not accidental! Although I am proud of my service during the war, I still face the ghosts of those whom I killed in the name of "Freedom" in the eyes of the Aussie and USA Governments. I have no time for reading other than the research that I must carry out in order to write my books. As well as being an author, I also operate an architectural and engineering drafting service. In February of 2022, I will also be studying for the Advanced Diploma of Building Design. so, in answer to your question, currently, I am not reading anything not connected with either my drafting business or my research for the novels that I write.

When serving with the Australian infantry during the Vietnam War in 1968, the man next to me was hit. the mystery to me is, "Why was he hit while I survived that action without any injury?" In an effort to understand that and to end the bullshit stories about the Vietnamese people, I wrote, "A Gracious Enemy" which tells the correct story from the points of view of both sides in that unjust and immoral conflict. As you may have gather from my answer toyour question, I am both an Australian Vietnam Veteran and I am very anti war!
