Cute new "fingers crossed" series from Lynn Cahoon. She is great at writing cozies.

I rounded up to 4 stars

What I liked was the very likable characters, who were endearing. Nice mystery. Short. Relateable. Very clean (I know many cozy readers don't like bad words or smut)

What I didn't like... I felt the author didn't capture how Young adults in their twenties live on electronic appliances and how they act... IE, fingers crossed behind back when lying, using notebooks, when many young adults use electronic organizers—small things like that. I mean, the author does clear up that Google searches and laptops were used, lol.

But the mystery was nice and the story was cute. Def will be a new series for me to continue. ]]>

Another fun historical mystery.

This series, albeit a short one by Fiona Veitch Smith, is well researched and well written. It reflects the time period without all the drama and seriousness of fiction and nonfiction works.

Poppy has turned out to be a great crime reporter, even though she officially covers the arts and social pages. I love Rolo and all the scrapes he gets into.

This book takes place around true events as it relates to the Romanovs and the exile of white Russians. The story is fiction, but the tumultuous history in Europe in the early 1900s is well embedded in the story.
