Since I listen to books there is an added factor of the narrator's quality. That being said, this book felt like a college level psychological thriller that was more like getting invited in to a young woman's cray cray.
There were times it had me say outloud, "eeek" and "geez", so that's worthy of 4 stars. It completely did not turn out as I expected even though throughout the whole book I was thinking, "this is SO preditable." This was an unexpected read for me. I listened to it b/c my husband was. It is extremely enlightening about reporters and politicians. It took a turn in the end and became very relatable highlighting struggles with mental health. Huge fan and recommended it to others.

I gave it 4 stars only because I started getting a little bored about 3/4 of the way through. I gave up right before the twist and got back in to it to finish it up.

The lesson? Don't give up before the magic happens! ]]>
