When two soldiers are found dead on a huge military base in California, apparently killed by gunshot, military investigators are stumped. Who is killing its soldiers, inside the secure confines of its own base?
And why?
The FBI is called in, and Riley Paige is summoned to take the lead. As Riley finds herself immersed in the military culture, she is amazed to realize that serial killers can strike even here, in the midst of the most secure location on earth.
She finds herself in a frantic cat and mouse chase, racing to decode the killer’s psychology. Yet she soon discovers she is up against a highly-trained killer, one that may, even for her, be too deadly an opponent.
A dark psychological thriller with heart-pounding suspense, ONCE STALKED is book #9 in a riveting new series—with a beloved new character—that will leave you turning pages late into the night.

This was by far my favorite of Riley Paige so far. She suffers so much in this book. Losing the young agent, gaining a new family member, this case was great not as in depth as some of the others that Pierce writes usually. But the things with Hatcher surely get very very interesting! Definitely read this book! It's great!!!!!
4...I only deducted a star due to my brain yelling at me the entire time that FBI would not cosign on a case in the military...(it's for Gibbs and his band of misfits lol)...Tears at the end...AND a Riley/Hatcher break up...What will he do next?
When three drill sergeants are found dead on a huge military base in California, killed by a single gunshot to the head, the military investigators, led by Col. Larson, are stumped. The only thing that’s evident is that the killer is a great sniper.
The FBI gets called in and Riley Paige takes the lead. The question is why are these particular army-men being targeted? Col. Larson seems to believe it’s a case of extremist terrorism; however Paige seems to think otherwise. She, along with her partners, Lucy and Bill, dig around, questioning and assessing everyone’s stories and motives. She eventually discovers that all the slain officers have a common connection.
Are there more in “the gang”? Will she be able to find the perpetrator in time, or will they lose another army-man to him?
On the other hand, her inability to trace Shane Hatcher, has warranted a new agent, Jennifer Roston, on the job. Will Roston be able to uncover Riley’s unusual connection with Hatcher? Will Hatcher be caught? Will Riley lose her job and credentials?
Thoroughly enjoying this series, and Paige is truly an enigma!
It was good I keep on want to know why the killer Shane was trying to get to her but at the end she did it. He was died. This story wasn't like any other stories. It mostly was at the family before the case. Bit the case she was on what about someone that killer teen girls. No one thought it was the high school gym teacher. It wasn't easy to puzzle all this new case together and help out a friend because in the last book they lost an FBI agent and it was how on Bill for sometime. That why he wasn't on the case. It took page sometime with the new agent and knowing something was wrong. But it made it more hard to put the book down. You want to read more and more into the life of an agent. Not every day u get to go on a case it page and find the murderer in the book. I can't wait for book 11 I be glud to it like I would with there others. If u looking for a book to read once gone is now free on Amazon books get the first copy and reading the story of page the FBI agent. There now 15th book but for now I'm going to be on book 11 new case and faces to find we don't know yet what the new case is going to take this lady too. So sit back and crake open the next book to blake pierce line of work.
Love m some Riley Paige, one of my favorite characters this author writes about. I read this in one day. I am always thrilled to open a new Blake Pierce book and especially when it is about this heroine. Riley Paige is divorced with a daughter. She has also taken in another young girl she found along the way in her other adventures fighting crime as an FBI agent. Now her daughter's boyfriend who has a very abusive father is homeless so will Riley and Gabriella the housekeeper/cook/babysitter take him in too? I know, I have not even mentioned the main story line. You will have to read it to find out. And of course her old nemesis living in her father's cabin is still around, making her feel obligated, guilty and afraid all at the same time.
I highly trained sniper is taking out drill sergeants on an army base in Southern California. Just read it.
I am sort of tired of the repeating sub line. Only Riley can solve anything, she constantly breaks rules without repercussions, every time she’s down in the dumps she gets drunk. We are also to belie that she’s this super FBI agent but a mousy mom who lets her daughter run her? This is pretty unrealistic, FBI teams work as that, a team. Her partner is relegated to a sidekick, sort of depressing. Also, how realistic is it that she would’ve been allowed back on full duty in the FBI in book one if she had PTSD with current flashbacks? Yes, the whole killer plot is good, but the main character is so unbelievable that I find myself rolling my eyes way too much to truly enjoy her books. If I could find cliff notes I’d just read those. Does the author have any FBI or law enforcement background?
Making my way through this series! Lots of side stories going on in this installment, and, again, I marvel t how Riley manages to hold it all together. Great writing, Blake Pierce. Riley is dealing with a possible extra member of her household, a ramped up investigation into her adversary/friend Shane Hatcher, sniper murders in California, and her budding romantic relationship with Blaine. Riley appears to have innocently made Shane mad and out for revenge now, and I anticipate Book 10 isn't going to be good for Riley. Onward.....
Wowza this one gets intense. The active case doesn't go as in depth, but things start to heat up with Hatcher. The ending definitely leaves you wanting more! I feel Riley grows a lot in this book, and it is refreshing to see her diving into a new relationship. I really hope she sticks this one out. I also always hope to not have to read about them suffering a great loss, but I felt it happened in a honorable way. I cant wait to read about what happens next!
I really enjoy these books, they keep you guessing to the end. You can really empathise with the internal battle of Riley as she tries to do her job but still live her life and be an independent woman and a parent. We may not all live the life of an FBI agent but we can relate to that struggle. Looking forward to the next part of the series.
Another excellent book by Blake Pierce. The character of Riley actually grows and matures some in this. There's also a huge cliff hanger ending, that is definitely setting up the next book, I hope.
These books are incredibly addictive and as you can see from my reading list, I am reading them at the rate of knots. I have been devouring this series and every other series this author has written. What I will note, is that the books seem to be getting shorter at the same price point and the editing leaves a lot to be desired. However, the stories just bring me back for more and more and more.
The writing doesn't seem to be on the same level at this point in the series, with amateurish lines like....this "took place" in a place...rather than this "occurred" in a place. It gets a bit old to keep hearing Riley agonize over not spending enough time with her family. However, the tension keeps me intrigued.
Someone is killing on a Military Base. The BAU is called in and while the one female investigator called them in her counterpart is totally against the FBI’s involvement. To make matters worse the team consists of Bill, Riley and Lucy and the male superior officer dislikes women. Sad ending to the investigation but at least they get their serial killer.

Loved this book. Sad to see one of my favorite characters die and the twist with Shane is intense! Curious to see where the story takes us in the next novel. I would love if the stories were longer because I just can't get enough!

I love the way his books always twists and turns! Just when you think have it figured it out you realize you were wrong! It is also different to be inside the killers head!He never ceases to surprise me!
This series just gets better as it goes along. Each book is a totally different story that keeps you engaged and unable to stop reading. The characters are so real and believable. I can't wait to read the next book.
I loved this series for so long, but now I feel like Pierce writes Riley with more and more weaknesses simply to make her weak and look stupid. There used to be a balance between her strengths and weaknesses. I think I'm over reading this series, which bums me out...
The writer seemed to be getting tired of this series but two big plot twists right at the end perked things back up. I got a bit alarmed when a few of the characters started racial profiling but Riley never agreed with them and she turned out to be right.
One of my favorites in the series so far! Yes, I’m tired of Riley being in trouble all the time but finally her family wasn’t in the crosshairs so there wasn’t all that drama as in previous books. Definitely glad I stuck with the series!
I will always enjoy my Riley Paige Mysteries, but the last couple books in the series I have read have not been that exciting. BUT! Of course I will continue reading because I must find out what happens with Riley and the elusive Shane the Chain.
Riley goes to investigate a military base murders of 3 Men are being snipped. there's some hazing and a private group going on. Riley and her old neighbor go on more dates and want to make it official. her daughter has a smart nerdy boyfriend. his family is abusive to him.
