As usual, with this being a Beaufont book, I was delighted, surprised, made to think more deeply than usual, and laughed a lot, and as wholeheartedly, as much as I cried.
Gen Beaufont is definitely the most complex one of her very unusual family, which came as no surprise to me, when I learned some facts while reading this book.
Gen is put through so much in this story, but it is really necessary, in order to fit her to her future role - & I'll say no more about that - no spoilers here! Lol
I absolutely LOVE the Beaufonts, with each series building upon the last as they have, and giving we fixated readers so very much to get our teeth into.
This book, though, really delves deep into motive, emotion, and just how our thought.processes affect all that we do - and I'm really enjoying all the nitty gritty of that - plus we get a look into the life of Carl Jung!
But what I found breathtaking, was the scope of the major fight within this book.
I've always loved reading the fight scenes that come so often in all the Beaufont books, but I think Sarah totally outdid herself with this one - and it was quite a shocker of an ending, too so, if you enjoy all that, as much as I do, then you're in for a real treat when you read this!
And if you haven't read it yet, what on Earth is stopping you? Lol
Seriously, this was an awesome read from start to finish, and it's left me wanting more, as usual!
The next book, which will be Book Seven: 'The Untamed Fighter', is due for release on 22nd November - unless it comes out earlier of course!
I can but dream! Lol
Anyhoo, I received another book released on the same day as this one, and I was going to read it, then realised it was book three of a series that I've started to collect, but hadn't started to read, as yet, so I'm going to start with book one, and go on from there!
This series is called: 'San Diego Paranormal Police Department', and is written by John P. Logsdon, and Jenn Mitchell, one of my favourite DUO (Delta Underground Operatives) Authors!
Book One is called; 'Halfcocked'.
So, I'll go straight on to read this, and I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think of it!
I absolutely adore this series and Gen and Emperor are my favourite of the Beaufonts. As each book is added to this series, you find yourself drawn in deeper and deeper as more unfolds and so many things are revealed. This latest addition is gripping and enthralling and full of action, danger, intrigue, suspense and mystery as Gen faces her greatest challenge but with family by her side and some pretty awesome sidekicks, she can face anything, even when someone wants her dead! The rogue riders needs a strong leader and the balance between good and evil needs restoring and Dwayne needs taking down before he destroys everything. Twists and turns and more then a few surprises have you gripped and on the edge of your seat and eager for the next book.
Sophia attends a secret meeting alone in a deep cave near Mexican Hat, Utah with chief of the Navajos, but it’s a trap.
Gen’s on another ‘scavenger hunt/secret mission set of tasks. She needs to visit four of her relatives in order to save Sophia and defeat Dywane Stone.
Footnote: 1) Interesting, since my daughter-in-law is half Navaho and I’ve been to the Arizona reservation.
2) I like the three fundamental theories of intelligence and personalities. Very interesting. I’d suggest everyone take the tests to get an insight on their own personalities.
Fave scenes: the three psychology books, opening the briefcase, the stone warriors and Night’s sacrifice.
I feel like I've said that before, but it's true. Danger. Intrigue. A little mystery. Suspense. Danger. Triumph. Surprise ending a and a new character. The Beaufonts and their companions stick together even while apart. Love, support, bravery, hope and a little humor bring a happy and unexpected ending. Think you know all there is to know about the Beaufonts? Nope.
The showdown between Gen and Dwayne has finally come, but first Gen has some quests she must complete and some loved ones to save. I love the way the Beaufont's all show up in each of the series, it's great to get caught up with them all. They always face hard times, but get through them with help from each other. I'm looking forward to the next book to see what new hardships Gen and Emperor will face and how they will defeat them.
This is book 6 in the series. Gen's nemesis is finally dead and out of the way. And she has turned brain dead and can't remember that she is the founder of the house of 14. Give me a f#÷king break here. She remembers everything her and her father did together, but she can't remember that. Bull puppies! I will go on to book 7, but if there's any more of this crap I am done with this series.
Having read every book (so far) in the Beaufont family saga, it was wonderful to finally get an answer to how and why the House of 14 was created. Thank you Sarah and Michael for revealing the origins and so masterfully weaving concepts of life purpose and spirituality together in this book. I look forward to the next one!
Gen and Emperor had to find Shopia and Linus. They have been captured by Dwayne Stone. They also to find her family that are hidden from Dwayne. Read and enjoy the adventure.
Because Gen is a Beau font and.Duane hates them he steels Sarah away. He send Gen a message fight him and whoever wins.get Sarah and her Dragon. Gen decides to find Sarah first. The adventure begins with trials.
Another great read, I found it a little different to the usual Gen Beaufont stories at first but it soon became clear when I read further into the book. Gen gets help from her usual friends and its great to see her sorting out how to cope in the modern world. I couldn`t put it down. I had the next book in the series waiting so found myself reading late into the night so I could find out what happened next.
