Lady Selena Brooks would much rather remain in the comforts of home during Christmastide. Why the blazes would anyone want to endure a house party for a whole fortnight? Especially one that has always been a wallflower? Society didn’t care if she attended, and wouldn’t notice her regardless. At least that was how it had been before. Before her brother dug their family out of debt and she became an heiress once more. Now that she had a dowry again she was suddenly desirable. Well they could all jump back into the holes they crawled out of. She would never marry anyone that didn’t truly appreciate her, and none of them had when she’d been poor. Society’s dictates had stolen her joy, and the peace of remaining home at Christmas. Selena wills top at nothing to remain unwed, and free from the grips of societal rules. The best revenge is living her life as she truly desires, and she will not let anyone, or more specifically, any man stop her. Kingston Rowe, Duke of Castlebury hated society. He wouldn’t even attend this house party if he didn’t owe one of his friends a favor. He’d been away from England for the past five years, and nothing had changed in his absence. They were all insufferable fools. One woman stands out amongst them all, and he is riveted with her. She does and says what she wants, but not in malice. She’s kind to the servants and sneers at any gentleman that tries to charm her. He’s intrigued, and tempted in ways he never has been before. But how does a duke catch the interest of a woman that doesn’t want to be courted?

Lady Selena Brooks would rather spend time at home during Christmastide than attend the Harcrest Manor house party! She is well aware that no gentleman would be willing to accept her simply as she was. Apparently it was not enough for her to be herself; they were looking instead for connections and wealth which she did not have to offer with even her small dowry having been gambled away by her uncle. Her cousin David, now the Earl of Foxcroft, has sworn to restore her dowry, even though that no longer mattered to her. She has not found a match at her last two Seasons and is quite satisfied to simply enjoy her life just as it is. But to support the other “wallflowers”, she will attend the functions society requires, reconciled to the fact that she has no intention of marrying anyone who would be after a dowry and has no feelings for her.
Kingston Rowe, Duke of Castlebury, also was not pleased to have to be at this house party, but he is there as a favor to a friend. Fortunately, he takes notice of Lady Selena Brooks and admires her strong character as she doesn’t let others tell her what to do, which definitely held his interest. But she has resigned herself to speak her mind, be true to herself, and not expect love or romance from a selfish man who can’t accept her as she is. Will Lord Kingston be able to convince her that she is exactly what he wants in a wife? Will he be able to win her heart? Or has she made up her mind that it is too late for her to find the kind of love she needs from a man?
Well written fast paced story. Another story from the Revenge of the Wallflowers series. GO GIRLS!!!!!!!!!! Full of drama, love, society, secrets, twists and revenge. Selena is heading for a Christmastide party where the other wallflowers are gathering. One has planned to get her revenge on 2 of the other ladies for the past treatments. Selena is there for support but she herself isn't treated very well. She has no dowry and wears clothes that are old and remade. Kingston is there with a friend, both knowing that these parties are for finding a bride or groom. Kingston and Selena try to stay out of the line of fire but in doing so they become close. Feelings grow and expand till the point that they have some heated scenes. Loved this great series and the women who bind together as friends. Would strongly recommend to all.

A delightful, quick and steamy Christmas read. Lady Selena Brooks is a member of a small group of Wallflowers bent on revenge. Each has their own story and this is the 1st one I've read. Selena attends a house party of a fellow wallflower now married and meets the Duke of Castleberry, Kingston. This may be the 'snarkiest" meet-cute I've ever read, and I laughed all the way through. This story moved very quickly and wrapped everything up nicely. I would love to have had a few more confrontations with the mean girls, but at least they didn't get the Duke and love prevails.

Selena wasn’t looking for love or romance, these had passed her by when she had been ignored the last three seasons but for some reason she had now caught the eye of the Duke of Castlebury.
Kingston didn’t believe in love or so he told himself so until the moment he met Selena now he had to work at winning her forever.
Romance, love and some steamy moments makes this a super fun read!.

Selena and Kingston are both at this house party over Christmas as a favour to other people. They both don't want to get married so they end up getting to know each other to keep out of the way of other suitors. Selena is there to support another wallflower as well. This is a fun book about women in a restricted society getting even for all the slights they have had due to various circumstances. It's wonderful and kept me reading until the end.

This is probably my favorite of the five wallflower pact though each stands alone. Selena chooses to be happy with and within herself regardless of others' opinions; the absolutely best revenge! Meeting her match in a handsome, witty duke makes it all the sweeter. These two are such fun and the banter is definitely laugh out loud.

A Wallflower’s Stolen Christmas by Dawn Brower and part of the Revenge of the Wallflowers series was a short, sweet and sensational story, that concluded the wallflower pact made between five young ladies. If you’ve been reading the series in order, you’ve followed these ladies on their journey to get revenge, only to find love instead! This may have been my favorite!
Selena and Kingston She has a flair for writing that makes you keep reading because you just have to see what's happening next. I love her characters and their personalities. I want to know more and her stories flow together nicely.

This is a charming and well written love story. A Christmas house party, wallflowers, plotting, a duke, revenge, and so much more interest kept me engaged. The delightful main characters, their humor, and wit kept me highly entertained. The friend's turned into a romance that led to a delicious passion, a beautiful love, and a wonderful ending was perfect. I highly recommend reading!
Absolutely loved Selena and Kingston's wonderful story that finishes off a brilliant series about wallflowers seeking revenge. 5 wallflowers who strike up a lasting friendship seek revenge on men who have wronged them in someway. Each of the stories can be read standalone.
A group of wallflowers left in the cold by the society of the time. A pact made to be there for each other and get revenge on those who made them miserable. The ladies step out of their sidelined roles and find ways to leave their past unhappiness. Each story is worth reading for entertainment.
