Comic Book Artist. He studied pre-medicine at the University of Tennessee, and then moved to Aspen, Colorado, and later San Diego, where he taught martial arts, became an award winning water skier, and began drawing comic books. In 1994, he was hired by Top Cow Productions in Century City, California, where he was the co-creator of "Witchblade", a comic about a voluptuous female detective who fights evil with the aid of a mystical weapon that attaches itself to her arm and gives her superpowers. Turner later founded Aspen MLT, a Santa Monica publishing company that created online comic adaptations for the NBC television series "Heroes" and titles including "Fathom", a deep-sea story about a female superhero. He was also a regular cover artist for "Superman/Batman" and "The Flash". Turner's work was in demand for special editions and similar projects, and he drew covers for DC Comics' "Justice League" and Marvel's "Civil War". The milestone 500th issue of "Uncanny X-Men", released in July, 2008, featured one of Turner's special edition covers. He died of complications from chondrosarcoma, a form of bone cancer he had begun treatment for in 2000.

A great start to the series. The graphics are very beautiful with wonderful colors. The story is enticing.

A Cruise appears at the port after been disappeared for a year. In that Cruise, there is a girl that is wanted by different species of magical beings.

The structure of the story is very interesting, because it tells the story from different points of view, but some times can be a little repetitive.

Anyway, I intend to continue reading it.

Intriguing. Undersea people, not quite mermaids. A ship missing for 10 years, not realizing when they pulled into port that they had been gone so long. A girl on that ship who has an obsession with water.

J'ai bien aimé mais j'ai été un peu perdue dans l'histoire je lirais donc les Origines pour mieux comprendre. J'ai quand même bien aimé l'univers et les personnages qui sont très riches. Les graphisme sont super et les couleurs super belles !

All the players are coming together underwater… all that remains to be seen is which party will get to Aspen first. I’m wondering who this blue guy protector is more than anything, and what he has against the ones Aspen saw on her first dive. This chapter was a little less fun to read, since through the three viewpoints (good) the images and scenes also got repeated, especially the last scene (not good) – basically, it was cumbersome, and jumpy from one area to another, and could do with a rework (especially at the end).

What a great start to the series! I loved the beginning where you learn even more about Aspen's mysterious past! The mystery is tantalizing!

You learn in #0 that she gets invited to an underwater laboratory, and in this issue she finally goes. This leads to some interesting discoveries and one hell of cliffhanger than if I wasn't so tired, I would be forced to delve into the next one right away.

I hope to see some more of Cannon next!

That's more like it!
