I knew that this was a beginner book when I bought it. It is a good beginner book and a nice, quick reference containing the basic information that any collector of Byzantine coins would need before they begin to collect these fascinating coins. Like all of the information, the biographies are available elsewhere, but it is handy to have everything in one place.
